All the funny stuff is in the trailer. I actually started checking my watch with about half an hour to go.

Gypsy - 7/10. Starring Natalie Wood.
It's about Gypsy Rose Lee, the burlesque star. It focuses mostly on her early years as a child actress supporting her sister, June Havoc.

Behind Enemy Lines-
Finally got around to seeing this DVD. Friends for years have been recommending the film but instead I kept choosing to watch Private Ryan over and over.
7/10
Owen Wilson saved the movie with his very strong performance.

"The Railway Man" - 7/10
Solid drama with good acting from its leads, especially Colin Firth. It's amazing to believe this true story actually turned out the way it did.
"Locke" - 8.5/10
A terrific movie hat takes place in one car in real time, with a fantastic performance from Tom Hardy. Very tense.
"Edge of Tomorrow" - 7/10
Another Tom Cruise trek into sci-fi. This movie was much better than "Oblivion." Cruise does really good work in what is essentially sci-fi's answer to "Groundhog Day," as does Emily Blunt. The action is pretty solid, but I think everyone seemed to enjoy the dialogue bits and setups in between the action. There's a fair bit of humor in here as well.

"Palo Alto" - 8/10
Really good movie. Disturbing though and pretty realistic. It's like "Kids" meets "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." It's Gia Coppola's directorial debut, but it actually has a bit of the feel of her aunt Sophia's debut, "The Virgin Suicides."

Cell 211 (2009) - 5/10. Spanish action flick about a prison riot with a bunch of forced drama. I don't even know why I watch such stuff.

10 Years (2011) - 5/10. Cliché highschool reunion drama with all the romantic sentimental bullshit twists you'd expect. Jenna Dewan and Lynn Collins are hot in it.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in 3D - 4 out of 5. 3D is a must for this and all superhero movies. The story is all right but the new Green Goblin is terrible. Electro was cool, Emma Stone is hot. There is a bountiful amount of 3D web swinging around NYC that looks fantastic in 3D. Sally Field is good as Aunt May, but I liked the old lady from the original Spider Man trilogy.

Dans ma peau ("In My Skin" 2002) - 8/10. Highly original, quite disturbing movie about a woman getting obsessed with self-mutilation. I wouldn't call it horror and it's not very gory, but kind of hard to watch nevertheless.
The Trip (1967) - 5/10. Roger Corman flick, directed by Jack Nicholson, starring Peter Fonda, Bruce Dern and Dennis Hopper. Yet, it sucks. It's entertaining in a trashy way at best. I don't think being stoned or on acid helps.

Enough Said w/James Gandolfini
Saw the film in the theater last year and had to watch again on DVD
the other night.
Still sad James passed away. This movie might not be for you but the man is among the top 5 actors of the last 20 years.

V/H/S (2012) - 7/10. Better than I expected. Definitely more entertaining than Blair Witch as far as shaky "found footage" horror goes. The main story was a bit underwhelming as it didn't really wrap shit up, but all the segments were at least decent on their own. Nice to see some contemporary horror without forced twists, no moral to the story, no explanations, no heroes, just good old murder, demons, aliens and Satan. I'll probably have to check out the sequel too.
The Guilt Trip (2012) - 5/10. Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogan on a road trip are like super quirky, man. Still the same sentimental comedy shit as usual. Ari Graynor is hot in it for like five seconds towards the end, prompting me to watch...
For A Good Time, Call... (2012) - 5/10. There she's hot all the time, and I don't really remember much more about it.

Schindler's List
8/10
Finally found 3 hours to watch the DVD for the 1st time ever. Friends have told me for years I needed to watch the film.
I might have given this a 9/10 if not for all the hype that preceded watching the film.
I was expecting many more graphic images, much more disgusting SS behavior. Not to say there was not any in the film.
Liam and Ralph were at the top of their game in this movie.
