Skeleton Twins - 8/10. This is a pretty great indie movie, and the only reason it doesn't get a 10 is because there's no real ending/resolution. On the other hand, that probably won't bother a lot of people who like these type of movies.

Nurse (2013) - 7/10. Not everyone will like this movie. If you're looking for a lurid, Erotic Thriller done well that features sexy nurses and murder and is entertaining, this is exactly what you're hoping it will be. Great action sci fi movie starring Tom Cruise (who's 50 but plays 30 really well), kind of like "Groundhog Day" meets "War of The Worlds" meets video games. Some pretty funny parts too. based on a Japanese novel that was turned into a manga/comic book.


Sound City = 5/5

Documentary about the legendary LA recording studio where some of the biggest records of the last 40 years were recorded. The first two thirds of the movie focus on the history of the studio, the last third documents the move of the legendary handmade soundboard to Dave Grohl's home studio and the record he makes with it, inviting many of those whose fame were birthed on that magical piece of equipment.

The Raid 2 (2014) Movie is about a cop going undercover in the Indonesian mob

Its basically juts a bunch of fight scenes, yes some are very cool but enough is enough
Its always 20 vs 1 , hand to to hand instead of just shooting him 6/10

The first hour was absolutely terrible but it got a little bit better along the way. There were far too many pointless characters and silly dialogues. The ending was rushed, if you can believe that.

This is basically the story of Moses done Gladiator style. Edgerton, who is a good actor, is not good in this as Ramses. Bale is fine. Was weird seeing John Torturro as an Egyptian king. Overall the movie was entertaining but I'd wait for Netflix or cable.

61 Bullets - 10/10 Documentary about Huey P. Long assassination. Excellent footage from the era, and also raises some amazing questions about who actually committed the deed. Plus, anything that shows off my home state of Louisiana is a winner in my book.

November Man (2014): 6/10
This is an old-school spy thriller/action flick with Pierce Brosnan in the lead. As with most of these movies, you have to suspend disbelief more than a few times, but Brosnan is perfect as the retired spy who gets pulled back in the game one last time, and the movie is paced really well (I know this because I didn't once catch myself looking at the clock to see how much longer it was). The action scenes are grittier than what you see these days too, which was nice.

Good crime drama with a few nice twist and Kathleen is still super hot ,had a thing for her since BH 90210.

Speaking of BH 90210 the next one was directed by Jason Priestley

Had a w/end of illness, so watched 4 movies in 2 days.

The Monuments Men - 6/10, watchable war film, nothing special.
Die Hard with a Vengeance - 8/10, great to revisit this action film again. Very good chemistry between Willis & Samuel Jackson.
Don Jon - 7/10, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is excellent as the guy balancing relationships with an internet porn addiction. Very funny in places and Scarlet Johansen would always make a film better.
The Hobbit (The desolation of Smaug) - 9/10, in anticipation of seeing the finale next week, I thought I'd sit through this again with my youngest. Nothing not to like about it...brilliant.

Fly Colton Fly (2014)

Documentary about a famous teen who stolen boats, planes and escaped the cops for a few years.

They made it seemed it was a very well known news story but i had never heard of it before, Very good 8.5/10

This would made one hell of a " real" movie

This wasn't just a waste of two hours of my life. It took more from me than that. What a steaming pile of absolute crap. I honestly felt pissed off when it was over, in part at the assholes who filmed this garbage and in part at myself for not bailing when I knew it was shit.

Maybe I'm Middle Earth burnt or something.

Huge Tolkien fan.

This left me wanting more and less.

More story line and less fighting (yes I realise what the title is)

There's only so much of "(insert name here) killing hundreds of (insert enemy here) before they even get a

scratch on them" before it gets to be kind of stupid.

Don't really care for the liberties they took with the whole Hobbit series (Legolas WTF?)
