Homicycle 5/10

For those that remember Gazpacho (hope he does not kill me for mentioning him) ArielPlath's ex husband and myself did a song for this movie around 2 years ago, the movie is finally out, I guess you can call it a b grade grindhouse throwback horror movie, not really my thing but it was cool hearing our song in the end credits, here is a film clip that I put together for the song

Yeah, everyone was all about this movie when it came out. I saw it, thought it was pretty good. "It's soooo scary." Yeah, not really, but a chick puked oil. And a demon puked oil in her mouth? Whatever it was, I liked it.

There was a shitty sort-of sequel--one of the worst movies of that year--and even by then, nobody remembered it.

I tell people "Watch Lucky McKee's The Woman." Nobody cares. Or they watched it and thought I was insane for saying it's so great.

Straight Out of Compton - 6.5/10

I'm fascinated by the late 80s-early 90s gangsta rap period. I'm not a rap music fan, but I think its grittiness blows away anything rap artists are doing today.

I also found it fascinating from the standpoint that today, Dre and Cube are about as gangsta as me - Mr. Middle Age. NWA to 22 Jump Street. :D

Killer Joe (2011) Matthew McConaughey,Emile Hirsh, Gina Gershon, Juno Temple

How can you just not love a movie with a full bush shot of Gina Gershon in the first minute? Juno also shows her tits and it has probably the best blowjob scene i have ever seen in movie

Cant believe i never heard of this movie before 8/10

Offret / The Sacrifice (1986) - 7/10.

My first Tarkovsky movie. Not really the revelation I hoped for.

Loulou (1980) - 5/10.
La femme de mon pote / My Best Friend's Girl (1983) - 4/10.
Sans queue ni tête / Special Treatment (2010) - 5/10.

Three movies where Isabelle Huppert plays some sort of whore. They're all pretty bad, though not due to her acting.

"It's a Gift" W.C. Fields.

Must see. Solid 10. So funny it hurts. Laughed thru the whole thing. Tears all down my face. His wife is a bitch when she hollers at him and scares him, I could hardly breathe from laughing out loud. He hates kids. Go get it, you'll die.

Guardians Of The Galaxy. 7/10

Visually it was pretty damn good. The story was a bit on the weak side. It wasn't the magnum opus a lot of people made it out to be.

J'embrasse pas / I Don't Kiss (1991) - 4/10. Emmanuelle Béart is barely in it, but when she is, it's in a hot manner. The rest is forgettable, I guess. At least I forgot.

Nelly & Monsieur Arnaud (1995) - 6/10. Emmanuelle Béart is still pretty much in her prime, the perfect balance of hot and adorable. The movie is not too bad either.

Voyance et manigance / Fortune Tellers and Misfortune (2001) - 3/10. Fucking awful attempt at comedy, and Béart is not quite hot enough anymore to carry that much shit by herself.

Into the Woods - a poor Disney musically. The second half was particular boring and bad. The first half was okay. 4 out of 10.

Batman Begins - my favourite of the trilogy. 9 out of 10.

Tom Petty-Running Down A Dream - 9/10

Not a huge fan but this was great. This made me realize that much like Aerosmith, I don't like much of his 2nd half although with Petty, I can hear it without scrambling to change the station.

Elevator to the Gallows / Ascenseur pour l'échafaud (1958) - 6/10.

Film noir by Louis Malle starring Jeanne Moreau. The plot is quite forced but I can see why it's considered a classic among the Nouvelle Vague shit. Awesome sound track by Miles Davis!

Hidden Love (2007) - 7/10.

Isabelle Huppert is a suicidal, quasi-catatonic mother in a mental institution, dealing with a psychiatrist and her daughter, herself suffering from life-long abuse and abandonment. Super depressing to watch, except for the daughter being Mélanie Laurent who's crazy hot and has her most complete nude scene in a career of nude scenes. She's also dead at the time. Schwing!
