Steve Jobs - 7/10 Lisas. I thought Fassbender, or whatever the fuck his name is, did an excellent job portraying Steve. I felt sorry for Rogan's character. Poor guy did all of the work, but, Jobs got all of the credit.

*spoiler alert*
They did decide to leave at an appropriate time, they just never made it. The ending was awesome.
*SPOILER ALERT*
I would have dumped my family in the villiage the minute the youngest disappeared. Then went back out myself to hunt for him. That would have been a more appropriate time in my opinion.
fuck off, kid. I have ticket stubs older than you.

They had left the safety of the settlement and built that house and farmed for a season there, investing a ton of time and effort. One missing infant wasn't enough to leave, especially considering the mother already didn't trust the teen daughter and she had had the infant. The eldest son disappearing while he was with the teen just reinforced that. Once he came back and it was clear something nefarious was afoot, they chose to leave.
See what I mean?
Lies are the words that I use when you look up hopefully

Deathgasm (2015) - 8/10:
As a horror comedy it's nothing special, it's so derivative that it qualifies as homage at best, but it's most of all a heavy metal movie. Two metal nerds somehow summon demons with their shitty music and the rest is gore. Awesome soundtrack with lots of crap like Trivium, but also Emperor, Skull Fist, Midnight and even some grindcore stuff. This film probably marks the first Anal Cunt reference in a romantic context. Future classic for that alone.
Roadie (2011) - 7/10:
Typical "middle-aged loser returns to provincial hometown to face the past" story, which is kinda cool because in this case it's about a roadie for Blue Öyster Cult, so the soundtrack rocks: BOC, Robin Trower, Dylan, Jethro Tull, Ramones, and, totally on that same level, LA Guns. Jill Hennessy is hot-ish. She actually sings and plays for real.

Nymphomaniac (Vol 1 & 2) by Lars Von Trier
7/10 Way too long, could have used some editing. There were a few holes in the plot, not very convincing at times.

Diary of a Country Priest (1951) - 7/10:
Robert Bresson movie after a George Bernanos novel. I've only read Under the Sun of Satan and somehow got these confused because of the mutual priest with a fucked up stomach thing. Still enjoyable, but I probably don't know enough religious imagery to get all this stuff in a movie as opposed to a book.
Inception (2010) - 7/10:
I liked it, but it seems way overrated. Another one of these obvious 100% allegorical movies that somehow need to have a stupid action surface. If Nolan's so smart, why can't he drop all this annoying gun fight explosion stuff and just make the deep movie this supposedly is? It's basically to psychology what the Matrix is to philosophy. Okay, maybe a tad less dumb.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) - 6/10:
Big step down from Rise.... The next one is probably gonna be a pure action movie and totally suck. Too bad.
The Canyons (2013):
I think Lindsay Lohan can be great, but this was honestly terrible. I even like some Bret Easton Ellis besides American Psycho, but this script is just shit. James Deen is atrocious and most others aren't much better, so it constantly looks like telenovela meets gonzo porn. Schrader must be embarrassed as hell.

The vatican tapes - 7/10. Love movies about demonic possession.
Crimson peak - 8/10. I expected it to be more horror than it actually was but still a good movie.

Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) 5/10 80's time travel flick that has one of those, "If you could do something different" plotlines. Not bad. Nicholas Cage is funny as a crooner style singer.

Ted 2. Infantile, immature etc. etc. shouldn't like it at all.........but I laughed my head off at some scenes. Watched it with my 18 y'o & we were sniggering most of the way through.
Not sure if it's as good as the first (probably not), but a worthy 7/10 in my book.

You have to watch the Comic-Con fight in slow motion. There are a lot of things you'll miss if you don't. There's even Peter fighting the giant chicken in there.gregster wrote:Ted 2.
