John Wick 2 - Fucking awesome action film!!!
Almost no dialogue and a paper thin plot. A perfect movie to turn your brain off and just enjoy the action.
9/10.

"Dean" - 8.5/10
Demetri Martin's funny dramedy about an artist dealing with grief. Very well-written, directed and acted by Martin. Also some great performances by Gillian Jacobs, Kevin Kline and Mary Steenburgen, and Martin drew some amazing cartoons for this.
"The Big Sick" - 8.5/10
Really funny and sweet dramedy about real-life couple Kumail Nanjiani (played by himself) and his then-girlfriend (now wife, but not a spoiler because they co-wrote the movie together) Emily (played by Zoe Kazan) and how she fell into a coma after they initially broke up. Ray Romano and Holly Hunter play her worried parents, while several Indian actors I wasn't familiar were great as Nanjiani's imposing family. The acting, writing and directing are all really tight.

Fantastic Planet / La planète sauvage (1973) - 9/10:
I never gave a shit about animated movies, but caught this by accident and loved every second of it. Apparently this is some French sci-fi cult film, where humans are slaves and pets to some giant master race of blue aliens. Politically still relevant, but never preachy. Despite its age, it looks so much cooler than any modern 3D shit I've come across, and the soundtrack is fucking awesome, made by some jazz dude called Alain Goraguer, who worked with some great artists of the time too.
Cries & Whispers (1972) - 6/10:
I came to like Ingmar Bergmann, but this was too slow for me. The whole family dynamics didn't touch me much, although that's usually his strongest point.
El día de la bestia / The Day of the Beast (1995) - 8/10:
Álex de la Iglesia rocks, this is maybe his best. More comedy than horror, but on par with genre classics like Evil Dead 3 or Brain Dead. A priest, a metalhead and a con-psychic try to prevent the birth of the antichrist on Christmas.

According to what i read and heard before watching this, people were passing it and puking during parts of this flick. I did neither of those things. I was expecting the movie to be much gorier/graphic, but it was pretty tame to me. Well shot, and the acting was decent, but I'd say it was just an okay movie at best. Worth a rental.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
WARNING POSSIBLE (Vague) SPOILERS
John Wick 2 - 5/10 - Everything seemed forced after the success of the 1st John Wick. If you like endless fight scenes where he disposes on countless faceless bad guys, then it may be for you. However, it looked as though I was watching someone play a fight style video game. The 1st John Wick got you somewhat invested in his loss (both by life itself and by the Russian mob) however I didn't care about anyone in this movie. John Wick 3 will probably be even more shallow, with more fights.
Life - 6/10 - It's always a cool novelty to see a big name actor get "off"'d early on. Kind of like Drew Barrymore in Scream. However, it still stemmed from illogical decisions made by professionally trained astronauts. The rest of movie like a 2017 version of Alien, but not scary.
Logan - 8/10 - It was cool to see an X-Men (X-Man?) past his prime and facing mortality as well as what can happen when they have power and lose mental capacity to control it.

It bothers him when he feels the need to post about it, so he threw "faggot" in there to throw everyone off his scent.
He likes New Kids on the Block, he calls himself "theglammerthebetter," and posts about how he has no interest in women. I'm guessing the real rating is at least 8/10.

Honestly, one of my favorite movies of all time. I saw it in the theater when I was about 10 years old. I've always been obsessed with The Omen.HeavyMetalZombie666 wrote:The Omen III: The Final Conflict: 10/10
I would say The Final Conflict is about a 7 out of 10.
