Mother - I don't even know where to begin rating it. It was more dark comedy than a horror as advertised imo. Great cast. Just mostly fucked up, but in a good way. Maybe.

Finally got around to seeing Pulp Fiction. I'm not going to rate it, but I really enjoyed it and can totally see why it is so hailed.

I'm going to credit myself in getting you to see it what with the dressing down I gave you when you admitted you hadnt yet.

I don't even remember that. But that's the general response to having not seen it, so I'm sure your rebuke just blended into the others.HueyRamone wrote:Mojo wrote:Finally got around to seeing Pulp Fiction. I'm not going to rate it, but I really enjoyed it and can totally see why it is so hailed.

Eye of the Beholder (1999) - 6/10:
Confusing mystery film noir with Ewan McGregor as a private eye stalker obsessed with Ashley Judd, who's a horny serial killer.
Prozac Nation (2001) - 5/10:
Christina Ricci as a depressed journalism prodigy. Some of the most entertaining melodramatic overacting ever.
Resolution (2012) - 6/10:
Good guy kidnaps crackhead friend to sober him up in a shed on an Indian reservation. Nice characters and good build, but kinda ruined by a supernatural non-conclusion.
The Kids Are All Right (2010) - 7/10:
Extreme leftist liberal Hollywood forcing lesbian marriage and family values down everybody's throats! Julianne Moore and Annette Bening can act.

Bleed for This (2016) Miles Teller Aaron Eckhart Katey Sagal. Good Vinnie Pazienza movie, liked the guy as a fighter back then but didnt know he was such a loser still in his childhood bedroom in his parents house even as a world champion boxer, 7.5/10

I thought this movie was pretty good, but I read that the movie skipped something like six fights and went straight to the final fight. I'm not a fan of movies messing with the timeline in that way, but it was still a good film.theglammerthebetter wrote:Bleed for This (2016) Miles Teller Aaron Eckhart Katey Sagal. "Battle of the Sexes" - 8/10
Really good movie about the famous tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. The drama and humor is blended really well, and Stone and Carrell plays their parts terrifically. The supporting cast, including Elisabeth Shue, Andrea Riseborough, Sarah Silverman and Bill Pullman, is really good, and there are oddly, a lot of well-known character actors in bit parts for some reason. My mom was telling me about how she watched it along with 90 million other people. The event was a really big deal.

Interstellar(2014) Amazing cast A++ cast Matthew McConaughey Anne Hathaway Michael Caine, John Lithgow, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck ,Jessica Chastain Wes Bentley ...... but once again Nolan makes it way too complicated 7/10. The Martian and Gravity were much better

"Stronger" - 8.5/10
Great movie. Gyllenhaal gives another tremendous performance as Boston Marathon bombing victim Jeff Bauman. It's really well made and kind of shows you how much this one man was a symbol of the nation's spirit in that moment in time, even as he himself was ambivalent about it.

IT - 8/10
I didn't know anything about this story before seeing the movie, so I was going into it with virgin eyes. The movie kicked in from the opening scene and kept my attention the whole time. The kids were all portrayed really well and Pennywise was really creepy but in a cartoonish way. I liked it overall but it wasn't perfect. I'm looking forward to chapter 2.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle - 8/10
Loved this movie. Really fast-paced and exciting. Tons of action and violence. I think I liked this better than the first one.

Kingsmen: Golden Circle 7/10. More of the same stylized violence as the first, although not quite as good. Still fun.

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai- 7/10. Pretty cool! Whitaker is great, of course.
Back to School- 6/10. Pretty hilarious at times; it's an '80s movie about college so nothing Earth-shattering but some great comic performances.

They needed an ensemble cast putting in their best performances, that movie seemed like it was a day and a half long.HeavyMetalZombie666 wrote:It is an ensemble cast. Everybody did great at acting. Gerald's Game - 5/10
The first half was pretty good. Have some good "eww" stuff in it, but then it falls apart.
They try to shove the entire 2nd half of the story into a montage of some sort.

Very entertaining, fun flick. Tom Cruise in medium wattage Cruise Charm mode. Good, but not a classic. Think the Johnny Depp movie "Blow."

La La Land. BEST picture of the year? More like the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. So boring. How did that ugly woman and goofy man ever get into show business. A thirty million dollar steaming pile of shit. Wasted two hours of my life waiting for it to get better. Glad I didn't have to pay to see it. I give it a solid F.

Once Upon a Time in America - A 90 year old man named Robert Alan Deal puts together a trendy band with 3 youngsters, one of whom has a terrible eating disorder. They tour, choke on cheeseburgers and overdose on vehicular manslaughter. The bass player turns into a zombie and the drummer slaps a ho and goes to jail.
