Hacksaw Ridge 7/10.
Entertaining enough, but something about it came off as hokey, to me. All the contrived religious symbolism and overzealous American patriotism read more as a church propaganda film than anything else. I still enjoyed the film on its artistic merits. It was very well shot. Mel Gibson can direct the fuck out of a movie.

Really awesome movie, with a pretty heavy emotional storyline. Make no mistake though, the action is frenzied in this one. One of the best films of the genre, which was beginning to stagnate (thank you, Deadpool!).

What was the reasoning for the "R" rating on this? Is it just the violence & language?

I think it may have been the multiple beheadings. I'm no censor, though.

Logan - 9/10

This movie was fucking phenomenal and I left the theater feeling like I got kicked in the heart. Patrick Stewart can do no wrong.

Agreed. Doubly hard knowing what Charles likely meant to Logan, who didn't have many friends.

8 out of 10. Really liked it. Action aside, about getting old, life, aging "parents", being a parent. Really different "superhero" movie.

"Kong: Skull Island" - 8/10

Really entertaining movie, over the top in a good way. The action is pretty crazy. The whole thing is like "Apocalypse Now" with scary creatures. John C. Reilly is loopy as all get out in this, as is Samuel L. Jackson, who gets the quotable Samuel L. Jackson line (the T-shirt line as he calls it).

Be Here Now - 10/10

A very intimate, very personal peek into the last days of Spartacus actor Andy Whitfield. Crushing, but inspiring. Catch it on Netflix.

Great movie. Really creepy and very well-crafted.
So this film is about these white parents being upset their daughter is dating a black guy right?
No.., the trailers are very misleading

"Nos Amis"(my friends) I knew nothing about this band. Had no idea Josh Homme was involved in creating the group.
The film was incomplete. At times the pace of the movie was revolving around the band and their incarnation, instead of focusing solely on the tragic night in Paris.
There was some very rare emotions that were shown. Especially the interview the EODM lead singer conducted upon his return to Paris.
Hughes came off as a douche and Homme came off as very, very gay. Flamingly so.

Captain Fantastic 8/10.
I really enjoyed this one. I thought everyone in the cast was excellent, and made likable what could have come across as very unlikable.

Maybe, my State of Mind was a little off at the time? But, I didn't see anything that lived up to the hype.

Isn't there a film online about the singer from As I Lay Dying? Something about a rock band who's lead singer
killed someone. I've been searching for the film/movie title but with no luck. Does that ring a bell at all?

A shit year for Hollywud. The rate several 2016 movies I've seen over the last few months.

The Nice Guys - 7/10 - Good cast, good script, well played, good flick..It's funny n'stuff...Rimjob!

Doctor Strange - 6/10 - Had the cast but missed the mark and lacked any flow. The Matrix meets Mortal Kombat meets Inception.

Star Trek Beyond - 6/10 - mildly entertaining but a drop from the reboots like they rushed production at warpspeed. Started ok, got worse then the ending was sabotaged. Sofia Boutella's character couldn't replace Alice Eve, they said they couldn't fit Alice in properly and left her out....No rack for you!

Me Before You - 3/10 - Chick flick with Dragon Barbi from GOT's..She's a fair actress who does absolutely nothing for me, like this movie. Don't waste your time.

Everybody Wants Some!! - 4/10 - Pointless 70's comedy that perfectly nailed Caddyshack II pissing on Dazed and Confused. It's a disgrace to all the recent 70's era flicks, I wouldn't buy the soundtrack in fear of ruining the songs. Richard Linklater bombed hard this time around.

Divergent, Allegiant - 2/10 - Fuck this flick, so bad it killed off the series which isn't disappointing.

Arrival - mysteriously boring, no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get into this movie. You're getting sleepy, sleepy, sleepy

X-Men: Apocalypse - 5/10 - Failed to deliver, wheres the cream filling?

The Choice - 2/10 - A chick flick I bet even TheGlammer wouldn't/didn't like. How do you cast Teresa Palmer, Alexandra Daddario and Maggie Grace with no tits? The best review "the cinematic equivalent of staring at a Hallmark Card for two hours"

"T2: Trainspotting" - 8/10

Not quite what I expected, but in a good way. Deeply satisfying, but one of those movies where you go, "Man, time has really fuckin' passed for us all!" It's a pretty emotionally heavy movie about the direct, lingering consequences of the first one. But the visuals/editing, music and humor are certainly in there as well.

The Arrival - 6/10

Very atmospheric and moody, but also very slow. It also gets lost in a sappy family story and doesn't answer many questions.
