This is a really good movie. The dancing/club stuff is obviously slick-looking, but the movie is quite dramatic and artfully crafted, which I wasn't expecting. Some of Jennifer Lopez's best acting work to date is in this, and Constance Wu gives a great performance as well.

Is it a true update of Showgirls?

I saw Downton Abbey. It was just like the series, so if you liked that, 9 of 10.

You’ll haul yourself to a theater to see Downton fucking Abbey, but oatmeal that doesn’t come in a sugar packet is too time consuming.

This fucking place.

Loved the series, and decided to see the film. Film was good. 8 out of 10 for me. Probably the best film I have seen at the cinema this year.

Revenge of the Sith

10/10

I'm the first to admit the first 2 prequals were subpar, but this one delivered the goods from start to finish. IMO it's the second best film of the six trailing only Empire. hayden christiensen's acting is poor, but so was hamils for the most part so fuck it. I hadnt seen this since the theatre, the ending was fucking great, darth vader coming to life was one of the coolest things put to film, if only they'd of let paul walker have the anikin role, clones would've been better as well, still the only other star wars film i'll give a 10 to.
you've inspired me to rewatch this film i've previously considered a gigantic turd. lol just realized this post was over ten years ago... fuuuuuck that dudes probably dead

Joker.

Really good, but not "fantastic". Pretty much exactly what I expected it would be. Definitely makes some political points about society valuing the wealthy and not giving a single fuck about the mentally ill and struggling. NOT A SUPERHERO MOVIE!!

"Judy" - 8/10

A very good movie, with a fantastic performance and singing by Zellweger. You really feel the sadder, human side of Garland behind the larger-than-life persona.

M. Night Shamalan had bad reviews in the past, I liked those movies.
I have no reservations about Glass, seeming Willis is one of my fave action heroes.

"Zombieland: Double Tap" - 7/10

Very funny, this one. A worthy sequel to the original. Not as fresh as the first one, but the jokes come consistently and generally work. Zoey Deutch is this movie's secret weapon. Stay through the end of the credits for a couple of tags.
