Zombieland - 10/10

Shit that was fucking hilarious. Bill Murray alone was worth it.

I'd like to go on record as saying the Brad Pitt closet scene was the best few seconds ever filmed in the history of movies. I must have did the rewind slowmo 100 times, I want a gif.

Survival Island (2006) - 5/10. Kelly Brook is quite curvy. And Billy Zane has no hair.

Before Sunrise - 10/10

This is probably my favorite chick-flick. Watched it many times already, but it's still superb. It's like a moving painting of human nature wanting a lasting relationship but in the end it fades away. Great acting, and Julie Delpy is wonderful. If you watch this, make sure you watch the sequel Before Sunset.

The Hurt Locker--7/10 Entertaining movie, but hardly the masterpiece people are making it out to be.

Moon--8/10 Good, if not predictable, sci-fi flick. Once again, the trailer gives away way too much, and you can probably figure out what the deal is from that alone.

Cobra (1986) - starrying Stallone and Bridgette Nelson. 5/10

0/10 for the acting
10/10 for the pure 80's ridiculousness of the story. Good guy fires machine gun into a crowd repeatedly and no inncocent bystanders are hit. Ever. Only the bad guys. Classic.

Also had a great villain with a cool knife.

Breaking Away - 6/10

Good movie. Never seen it before.

Hanger - 0/10

Just horrible. An unbelievable piece of shit. Makes Ryan Nicholson's Gutterballs look like Avatar.

Splinter - 7/10

Creepy!

Splinter was pretty badass. The scene with the chick repeatedly bashing her face against the plate glass window at the gas station was especially fucked up! haha

Martin Campbell remakes his own mini-series, and amps up the carnage...it is one of the most brutally violent films I have seen in ages...people don't just get shot, they get shot, and spray blood and fragments of gore everywhere.

It starts a little slow, picks up steam, then just barrels headlong towards the ending, which is a corker....apart from a couple really bad performances from some of the younger cast...it's a pretty great film.

Oddly enough, there is a scene in the film that made me almost jump out of my seat, which is more than I can say for pretty much any horror film made in the last 20 years...I almost shit myself.

This: the wife and I went to see it last night,
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Not according to people who have actually done the job the guys in the movie are supposed to be doing. I've never been in the military, but even I knew some of the shit going on in that flick was just plain stupid.

Great film, saw it on the plane when I was a kid, going to America for the first time. Haven't seen it for years though, Jackie Earl Haley was good in it....I think they also made a short-lived TV series based on the film.

Last night I watcged the recent horror flick Blood Creek, directed by Joel Schumacher....suprisingly effective, if ridiculous. 6/10 for what it is.

not as disturbing as Inside, but definitely creepy as fuck. the French seem to have cornered that market the past few years.

I thought it was really well-made. It had some gruesome parts (hello, armedectomy!) but it didn't rely on them - it was always stuff like the scene you mentioned that had the most suspense.

Good acting in the whole thing too.

I have minor complaints, really weird stuff and nothing worth going into.

It's not a biographical masterpiece about them soldiers but a cinematic masterpiece.

I look at the film this way...it's like Gilbert Gottfried telling the Aristocrats joke. You know from the beginning how the fucking thing is gonna end...but up until that point, you are watching a master at work.

Much better than I had held out hope for it being.

Great cast too...it was like a fucking who's who of character actor villains...Ted Levine, Elias Koteas, Jackie Earle Haley, Ben Kingsley, Max Von Sydow...fantastic.
I can't wait to go see this one.

Great cast I'll agree with, and it was visually cool at points, but overall I thought it was extremely disappointing. I expected better on basically every front.

Stoked - The Rose and Fall of Gator (2002) - 9/10

Excellent documentary on 80's skateboard legend Mark Gator Rogowski and the very awful choice he made in life. Saw this when it came out and had forgotten about it. Jason Jessee comes across like he is on crack, worth the rent on Netflix.

2012 - 3/10, Utterly shit, the whole film seemed to be John Cussac running, driving, or flying away from the crumbling, falling, imploding earth behind him, just total shit, and the effects were boring, poor acting (except for Woody Harrelson), lots of pasted together shots, infact all the shots of the leaders on the arks are unbelievably poor, and the noise level is overwhelming.

Saw 6 - 4/10, possibly the worst one. Saw 1 by itself was very good, all went down hill afterwards.

Dark City - 5/10, Strange film, a bit like a gothic Matrix

No Country for Old Men - 8/10 Really good film, just watched it for the second time, would recommend this to anyone.

The Shining - 10/10, just got this on Blueray, and it's just awesome, great lighting and amazing colour, opening shot is amazing.

I thought it was pretty well done. I enjoyed watching it... but I probably wouldn't ever watch it again, or run out and buy it or anything.

Recapturing the Blade--7/10 A documentary about the history of the sword. Interesting, but dorky as all hell.

Killer At Large--8/10 Documentary about how corrupt our food industry and the FDA is. Kinda scary.

Ready To Rumble--6/10 Ridiculously stupid movie, but it makes me laugh. I WILL RULE YOU!

Shutter Island 8.5/10
easily one of the best movies i've seen in a long time. didn't take me long to figure out where they were going with it, but it was a hell of a trip. and this from a woman who despises DiCaprio, so take that for what you will. plus that island was fucking gorgeous!!
