At any rate, Robert Mitchum's last role ever, and Johnny Depp before he exploded (although he was already pretty big) playing a Cleveland native in the Old West. Written and directed by a Cuyahoga Falls native. Nice cameos from Billy Bob Thornton and Iggy Pop among others. Why didn't I already own this?? Not great, but certainly not bad.
Yea, Johnny Depp was pretty cool in that movie. Iggy Pop was pretty crazy lol Sort of felt like it dragged on too long, though. Still pretty trippy, and cool score by Neil Young.
My last two movies were:
North Shore (1987)...8/10. great cheesy surf movie. Lots of cameos and I can pretty much quote every line in the movie. Been seeing it since I was a kid.
Empire (2002)...6.5 out of 10. Just a typical crime lord movie. Not to spoil anything but John Leguizamo gets Benny From The Bronx'd at the end.
'Foo Fighters: Back and Forth'
Watched this last night with a bunch of friends-as far as I know, it's not going to be screened again-it was only out for that one night.
It's basically a documentary on the career of Dave Grohl, starting with Nirvana and ending at where he is now. It's pretty much what you'd expect from any music documentary; lots of talking over old photographs, old footage, band members (and ex bandmembers) being interviewed in recording studios. The only difference is the ending-it shows the recording process of their latest album (recorded at Dave's house) and at the very end after the credits, they perform the album in it's entirety. 45 minutes of non-stop playing in Dave's basement.
It's basically promo for their latest album.
6.5/10. It was ok. Had no idea the Foos had hone through so many band members. Also had no idea Dave's neck will someday take over the world; maybe it was just where I was sitting but it's fucking huge.

The Human Centipede. I've watched many a messed up movie, but this takes the cake. However, take away the shock value, and there isn't much here. Of course, that's how most horror movies are, and how they are supposed to be. However, most of them are kind of "fun." This one wasn't much fun. 3/10. Worth watching once if you are fan of the genre.

Battle: Los Angeles 6/10 Great special effects great action. However the story and characters are all very cookie cutter. If you want to see big explosions and cool action you'll like it but don't expect a great plot and characters.
Home alone with the kids this weekend so I've had Netflix beaming me some sanity:
House Of Fears - 6.5/10. Not too bad. Kind of a modern take on the old Waxwork movie.
Dance Of The Dead - 8/10. Night of the Living Dead goes to the Prom. I liked it.
Zombies Zombies Zombies - 0/10. 20 minutes in and I was bored. Takes a seriously shitty film to make hot strippers not worth watching.
Hunter Prey - 7/10. Surprisingly good. Very traditional Sci-Fi in the same vein as Enemy Mine.
Showdown In Little Tokyo - 7/10. Cheesy buddy cop film with Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee. Brandon Lee steals this film. Tia Carrera's tits make a nice apperance too.
The rest was terrible. Worst film I've seen in a long time.
What was it about again?
It was about two hours. That's all I got out of it, two hours of "huh?".
BUT those chicks in th ewhite suits were fucking hot. And Olivia Wilde, I've seen her on House for years but never thought she was attractive, but Goddamn that short haircut makes her totally different looking!
Last movie I saw was "CONVICTION" 7/10. Hillary Swank plays a woman who's brother (Sam Rockwell) is convicted of murder and she believes he is innocent. She gets her GED, her BS and then goes to Law School to try to get him out of Prison. Very good flick based on a true story.
Green Street Hooligans 2 (2009) - 7/10. Soccer hooligans in prison fighting other soccer hooligans. Owes a lot to the Longest Yard, and the soccer version of the Longest Yard with Vinnie.
I actually liked it. I thought it was one of those movies where you see the preview, and you've seen the movie. Plus it's got that fucking beard guy from 'The Hangover' in it, and I hate him. It made me laugh a few times though. Pretty funny. Downey Jr is great as an asshole, and that fucking beard guy from 'The Hangover' is great as that fucking beard guy from 'The Hangover'. It is pretty funny.
I actually liked it better than the original which was very boring. Sadly it was very predictable. Nice visuals and I'm sure it must have been very good in the theaters in 3D.

It was fun in the theatres. I have no desire to see it elsewhere or otherwise.

I finally watched Catfish last night (always behind on the times). I enjoyed it, despite the fact that those guys are huge douches. Don't give a shit if it was real or not. 7.5/10

loved that movie! real or not, it was great!
"I'm afraid of what I've become. Tell them they should be too."
The Bridge (2006) - 6/10. Sort of interesting doc on people that take a swan dive off the Golden Gate Bridge. Good start, good ending - inbetween is so-so.
Burried with Ryan Reynolds, i think its the 1st time i watch a movie with just 1 actor , it was very good, he did a lot with what he had to work with even if his caracter was pretty dumb, great suspense and for once then ending didnt scrap the movie 8.5/10
Scream 4 , fun to see the old caracters, lots of new hot chicks, the stab movies within the movie were pretty funny, didnt figure out who the killer was 7/10
