"Drag Me To Hell".
I liked it a lot! It was great to have Sam Raimi doing something Horror related again. The movie had some elements that reminded me of the first two Evil Dead films. The crazy camera angles, sound effects, and physical torture the main actress is put through..(reminded me of what Ash went through during the course of E.D.2). The PG-13 rating or lack of "gore" didn't bother me, the story made up for it, IMO. The only "letdown" was the red herring I saw coming the minute it happened, but that's just the byproduct of seeing hundreds of films, I guess? I know the film is good because the two 20 something chicks behind me kept commenting on how stupid it was. Go see "Hostel 8" then ya beeeyotches!!
I thought the story was pretty original...kind of reminded me of 1981's "Ghost Story" and "Poltergeist" in ways... I give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Fuckin piece of shit.
Ian McShane and a mostly Europe soundtrack could not save this flick from Adam Samberg's crappy performance and the familiar plot done without style or conviction.

Boy, Interrupted
Documentary on HBO about a little boy named Evan. This kid was bipolar and totally obsessed with suicide from around age 7. He eventually killed himself at 15. His uncle also committed suicide when he was young, and the movie focuses on the two suicides and the similarities between Evan and his uncle. Interesting documentary, totally heartbreaking.

The Rise and Fall of the Ultimate Warrior - 2/5 - Meh.
The guy is a roided up, barely talented, fucking self absorbed, douchebag lunatic and this doc by the WWE is a complete hatchet job .. which made it kinda funny actually. Not that entertaining though.
Jim Hellwig changed his legal name to "Warrior". The Ultimate douchebag.

Slumdog Millionaire - 9/10. Unlike a lot of the movies that get campaigned for Oscars, this one is actually good.

Knowing
Pretty good until the whole alien/God thing at the cheesy end.
Burn After Reading
Loved it but in my eyes the Coen brothers can do no wrong. I'm not fond of George Clooney or Brad Pitt in the celebrity sense but I loved their characters in this movie especially Clooney as the pervy sex weirdo.
Drag Me To Hell
Fun and campy. I love Sam Raimi. ED 1 & 2 are some of my faves and this movie had the same feel. Will definitely purchase for my horror collection.

Don't bother 3/10 - the 3 is for the beautiful scenery.

In Pot We Trust - 5/5 Good doc further proving medical MJ is an amazing medicine for many many serious ailments, proving it's still completely lied about and misunderstood by a bunch of shit for brains sheep in Washington DC (and nationwide) and proving the DRUG WAR ia a complete and total motherfucking expensive stupid joke. A lot of the flick was depressing seeing people seriously suffering between medicating and then having to score weed illegally on the streets because the states they live in are packed with jackasses that lack compassion beyond their own agendas...

Literally just finished watching [REC] on DVD. Damn good, scary, intense movie. Just wish it had come out on video in the US BEFORE Quarantine, as the American remake was VERRRRY faithful to the Spanish original. I liked Quarantine a lot, LOVED [REC]. Great special effects, great story, very good acting. Also, having lived in Spain, I was diggin' hearing that distinctive Iberian accent. My son jumped multiple times, and proclaimed it a "disturbing, messed-up movie."

Those are Jim Helwig's only positive qualities.
Even if he would have consulted and cooperated with the WWE, the doc would have come out basically the same. He's factually a never-to-be-forgotten, minimally talented at best, hyper roided up, totally mindfucked, wacko jackass flash in the pan.
There is no other way for a doc about him to come out, unless it's 100% made-up fiction.

Big Man Japan
W....T....F did I just watch?? That was the most trippy thing I've seen in ages. I can't even explain it other than a mockumentary of a the Japanese monster genre. It's funny and soooooooo fucking weird. I just had some wine on board but something much stronger would have made it more great. The monsters were awesome especially the thing with the eyeball penis?? WTF!?
I would definitely advise some sort of hallucinogen before watching just to make it extra special.
I still don't understand the ending but if you like weird shit then this is for you!

The Prestige
Really cool movie. Lots of twists and turns, and a fucked up ending. There is a lot of bouncing around from one time period to another but it all comes together, you just have to pay close attention. It's a movie about rival magicians in the Victorian era, which might sound kind of corny and dumb. It's not at all though. It's very dark and it's just really fucking good.

Watchman - 8/10
I didn't know anything about this film, other than some on this thread said it was good. So I watched it, and other than the slightly confusing plot, I thought the it was excellent. While I was watching it, I kept thinking that this is the way comic books films should be made. I hope whoever is making The Avengers, has seen this film and taken note.

The Haunting in Connecticut
In real life, there's nothing I love more than haunted houses. Movies based on true stories about haunted houses? I'm pretty bored by them. There's always some dusty corpse in the wall that needs to be properly buried and once that happens, everything's peachy keen. Ugh.

I Love You Man 6/10 , a few good laughs, but kind of disappointing considering how awesome the cast is. Favreau is fuckin hilarious.
