The Thing (Prequel) 7.5/10:
I went in not sure what to expect, but was really happy they went for the prequel as opposed to the remake of the remake with Kurt Russell.
Still I figured there would be a bunch of plot holes with regards to the original remake, but was pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail covering all the bases.
When the movie first ended, I thought they didn't explain a few things, but after a couple credits it continues and basically recaps everything to the point of the original remake starting - which again, I thought was brilliant move.

3/5
Weird stuff, mixed feelings. Funny on one side, ridiculous and pointless on the other. And all the time I wanted to beat the shit out of Malkovich's character!

The Puppet Monster Massacre 9/10
i would have rated it as 10/10, but the fart jokes wear thin after a while.

The Guardian - 7/10
This is a few years old, has Costner and Kutcher and is about U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmers. It was a good way to kill a few hours on a Sunday.

Footloose (2011) 4/10
It was pretty crappy but the super hot chick gives the movie a 7, but I have to take 3 away for awful overacting. Not very good. Not sure why I went. I had planned on seeing 50/50 but changed my mind at the last minute. Bad move.

There was really no need for a remake of this film.Blumpkin King wrote:Footloose (2011) 4/10

The only drawback was that during the whole thing I couldn't get Monty Python And The Holy Grail out of my head.

Main guy gets a little annoying towards the end, but it's still pretty funny.
Bad Teacher - 7/10
Pretty predictable, but everyone is really funny. I hope Justin Timberlake never makes another album, but I like him as an actor.

Funny as shit. A great spoof of the Redneck horror movies ala Cabin Fever, Texas Chainsaw, Wrong Turn, etc. Although not as obvious or mainstream as the Scary Movie franchise.

Horrible Bosses - 4/10. Too stupid to be believable and not funny enough to be entertaining. All the funny shit is in the previews.
Everything Must Go - 8/10. If you like Indies that move slow but keep you interested, this one is absorbing. Will Ferrel dials it down several notches and that's a good thing in this movie.
Sunshine Cleaning - 7.5/10. Liked it. Good "30 year old coming of age" movie with a little of everything - light humor, drama, pain, despair - and Alan Arkin.
Paper Man - 5/10. Some of it didn't work right, still watchable, wanted to be a "40 something coming of age" movie but didn't quite make it for me.

Halloween III (1982) - 7/10. Lots of mixed opinions about this one, but its a guilty pleasure. The music/score by JC may be more entertaining than the flick itself, but anything with Tom Atkins is usually worth watching.
