Tron Legacy - 4/10
Somehow manages to make even less sense than the original. Really a pretty awful movie but neat to look at. Completely incoherent plot that seems like a mash up of the original Tron and one of the terrible Matrix sequels.
Michael Sheen is good as the digital gay club lord or whatever the fuck he's supposed to be, and Jeff Bridges is Jeff Bridges. Nobody else can act but why should they anyway? It's not a real movie.
The end is great. One of the bad guys switches sides for absolutely no reason and saves the day.
Also, they eat food inside Tronworld for some reason. Where do they get it? Why do they need to eat it? Don't worry about it, here's a light cycle fight...

Paranormal Activity 3 ~ 'S alright. I was with a friend of mine who scares very easily so that made it more entertaining. Gives a little more insight into the whole 'story' of the film - not that I'm too bothered about that anyway, but it's quite informative. 7/10.

That reminds me, I gotta pull that one out to see it again.Fletch wrote:Halloween III (1982) - 7/10. Lots of mixed opinions about this one, but its a guilty pleasure. The music/score by JC may be more entertaining than the flick itself, but anything with Tom Atkins is usually worth watching.
Tom Atkins Dr. Chalis is the ultimate anti-hero.
I like when Stacey Nelkin's character meets him at the bar saying:
"The nurses told me I could find you here." Classic.
One of these days I gotta buy one of those masks.

I just rode the Rebel Yell a half-dozen times last weekend. Great coaster along with another 4 or 5 there.Facedown wrote:Rollercoaster - 7/10 (Sentimental rating)

Halloween H20 (1998) - 6.5/10. Better than anything that came after III, but not as good as I remembered seeing it in the theaters.

Holy fuck I didn't recognize Michael Sheen as the fag, defiantly one of the more versatile actors on the planet. He's played what...A retard, werewolf, terrorist and a gay digital bar-owner.
Tron Legacy = stupid as fuck.

The Rum Diary. 5/10. I thought it would have been more similar to Fear and Loathing, but it was pretty boring and uneventful. Doesn't follow the book at all. I had been hearing about this movie since 2000, so it was a bit of a let down. Also very slow, and goes on a little too long.

Loved it. I like Will Ferrell but I understand why he's not for everyone. That said, it's hard to not like him in this. Very good job IMHO.
Puss In Boots 3-D.
Pretty funny actually. Lots of silly cat jokes. 7/10

Anger Management (2002) Starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. Either 6.5 or 7 out of 10. I hadn't seen it but figured it was probably better than Sandler's recent shit. Sandler is actually pretty good in it, but Nicholson is one of those annoying characters in it. Still decent, I thought. I even turned in 30 minutes late, but it was still long enough lol

I Spit On Your Grave (2010)
I saw the original back in the late 80s/early 90s but barely remember it.
Holy shit, there were some really intense scenes in this movie. This remake stands on its own. Some of the most brutal torture you can imagine, and a pretty good tale of revenge.

An awesome film. I love the works of Shakespeare and have read a lot about who Shakespeare really was. Roland Emerich does a 180 from his action films and created a hell of a good film. Rhys Ilfans was great as Edward de Vere, as was Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Elizabeth I. Great scenery, costumes, and story line.
