Listening to the Norwegian was cool, though.
That was the best scene in the movie.

10/10
Funny the whole time
Mulholland Falls
6/10
Movie wasn't terrible. Melanie Griffith was.
Did not care for the ending. Overall kinda weird for a cop movie.

I watched The Dolly Sisters again. Good but confusing movie. It doesn't address the characters ages and it jumps several years at a time.

Barberella - 6. Weird but watchable. Wouldn't watch it whilst stoned.
Footloose - 7. Man Kevin Bacon is awesome. He can give insults, dance, do gymnastics, doesn't take shit from that 3rd rock from the sun dude, drink, race tractors, smoke weed, and get the girls panties in a twist.

Watched a documentary about F. Scott Fitzgerald called "Winter Dreams". That was pretty good, though probably boring as shit if you're not a fan.

This one really caught me off guard with how good it ended up being. Left me wondering if Shakespeare actually REALLY didn't write anything. No actual manuscripts with his actual handwriting have ever been found, he was possibly illiterate, whoever did write the plays & sonnets was a worldly person who had traveled to many places and apparently Shakespeare hadn't.
Definitely worth a watch for sure and makes me wanna do a little research myself.

What's Your Number: Have to say first; I like Anna Faris. She's cute and I find her funny. Anyway, RomCom at it's best....7/10. FWIW, I find most RomComs in the 1/10 area.
Drive: 6/10....ok, 7/10. Not the movie I thought it would be. Good flick, don't understand the hype at all.

The Woman In Black - 5/10. Kinda 'meh' really.
I get freakin' bored at work so I get to read crappy magazines and such quite a bit. In one, there was an interview with Daniel Radcliffe in which he said that they didn't refer much to the play when making it, instead preferring to follow the book. That's a load of bollocks. The play is more in keeping with the book than the film is.
Plus, the whole time, people were just saying shit like 'you killed voldermort, you can kill the woman' 'use your wand!!' and the like.

Moneyball- 7.5
Good movie. I don't have much else to say other than who else runs grounders out like Johnny Damon at 40 years old?

Yeah, I ended up seeing it last weekend and you summed it up pretty well.WOLF wrote:Saw The Grey this past weekend. Brilliant no; entertaining yes. Pretty fuckin' intense too. Not by any means a horror movie, but the way it's filmed and recorded could seriously freak a person out. You could hear a pin drop in the theater, throughout the movie. Worth the price of admission IMO.Hurls34 wrote:Still debating whether to see The Grey or Man on a Ledge next.
I'll probably end up seeing both, maybe even a matinee double feature, but which should I see first?
Brilliant no; entertaining yes.
I'll give it 6 stars.... although I left the theater before the post credits scene (I thought that only happened in comic book movies).

Drive 3/10 - Excruciatingly slow pace. Horrible dialogue filled with awkward silences and poor delivery. I'm still irritated after a full night's sleep. Pure suckage. I gave it a 3 just because Bryan Cranston was in it

After a few days I think I'm bringing my number back to 6/10.
I seriously don't get the hype of this movie. Again, wasn't horrible, but it sure as shit wasn't a classic.
And cutie boy's looks and wink and whatever were annoying as fuck.

Watching the first season of Shameless on blu ray. This show is done really well and Macy makes a very unlikeable man somewhat likeable.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Honestly, given the choice, I'd rather see the play again (saw it just over a year ago). Have you read the book, too? It's quite a short book and isn't dense or anything by any means - I just skim-read it. I suppose they did quite well with building tension up though [in the film], but towards the end harry potter comes up with some wild-assed 'idea' where everyone was a bit 'WTF??' about. That wasn't in the book. I won't say what it is, but you'll know what I'm talking about if you see it.Inessence wrote:I saw the play ten years ago and was kind of looking forward to this movie. Never read the book or saw the play, but the movie? The MST3K styled one liners from the crowd was what actually kept me entertained.
