The Runaways - 5/10. I wonder what the girls themselves (And Kim Fowley) thought of this?
Fury - 6/10. Samuel T. Jackson doing his thing.
360 Degrees - 8/10. Anthony Hopkins etc. A well thought out, beautifully shot film with a few boobs in there too. What's not to like?
Ripley's Game - 8/10. John Malkovitch cruising through this, doing what he does best. Surprisingly violent too.

Looper-2012 6/10 maybe
Not a bad movie, but I really didn't like it either.
Django Unchained-2012 8/10
I saw it in theaters and it was great.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus-2009 7/10
Surprisingly good. It did remind me of a darker The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988), but I liked that movie a lot too.

Beasts of the southern wild - 3/10 - I felt like they didn't finish the script. Go rewrite it.
Silver linings playbook - 5/10 - A romantic comedy that is plausible. That's a first for me.

Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. 7/10
I had heard not so good things about it, but as a fan of the first I watched it the other day on "Max, or showtime, whatever premium movie channel it's on.
I was pleasantly suprised.

I'm going to watch this based just on the title. That's fantastic. The sequel should be Cabo San Lucas Zip Lining Massacre followed by Interlaken Canyoning Massacre.SanityClause wrote:Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre 6/10
Slasher movie aboard a whaling ship in Iceland. Not bad for a throwaway movie.

"Juan of the Dead".
I knew it was in Spanish, but got a cool surprise. It's Cuban....a commie zombie flick filmed on the streets of Havana. And it doesn't shy away from taking pokes at the system there. An otherwise generic zombie flick, but the Cuban angle makes it fun.

It was slow and plodding at times, but picked up midway through.
It was different and not for everybody, but still watchable,

Tough call. But I think I'd go with Sharktopus. Either that or Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. Or maybe Piranhaconda. I can't decide!

Biutiful w/Javier Bardem
Amazing!
9/10
Javier Bardem is among the elite actors of our era. No question about it.
His performance in this film further proved the point.
The Master
Strong film with an amazing cast.
8/10
Took me quite a bit to understand the concept of the movie.
Juaquin is another great actor and Phillip Seymour matches
him line for line

Phenomena - 8/10. Can't believe I had never seen that shit before. A lot of boring covered Connelly tits stuff, but the mutant child monkey decapitation climax is too fucking much. The soundtrack does the rest.

"Stoker" - 5/10
I wanted to like this, as it's beautifully shot and the production design is fantastic, but it simply amounts to a mood piece, with a lot of the visuals padding a story that's barely there. Also, a few key aspects of that story are left unclear by movie's end, which is never a good sign. Still, it's possible that the story simply translated much better on the page.

Agreed on all accounts, I havent seen skyfall but I've talked to many who said He was robbed of an Oscar nom. The master was wierd but damn those 2 acted there asses off in it, I thought maybe PSH would be the big surprise winner and grab his second oscar for the master and it would of been deserving though I'd have neen happy if anyone ofther than tommy lee jones won.Machado wrote:Biutiful w/Javier Bardem

Not exactly what I was expecting, but absolutely loved it.
Hang in there 'til after the credits for a final scene.
