The Gambler (1974)

8/10. Great movie. Really shows the ugly side of gambling.

Deliver Us from Evil

Not a bad flick but the whole Doors thing was fucking hilarious. I guess demons are super into Jim Morrison?

Evil Dead remake - zero stars in regards to the charm of the original but 9/10 on the gory scale of worthy remakes. I enjoyed it. The needle to the under eye of Chris Robinson and chainsaw gagging at the end was all I needed. Beautiful.

Delivery Man(2013) Vince Vaugh

Movie is about a guy who has over 500 kids from donating to a sperm bank

The original was done here in quebec just a few years ago, it was a good remake but not just as charming 7/10

Movie is almost 100% the same except in the original they played soccer instead of basketball

Erasing Hate (2011) - 7/10.

Documentary about white power skinhead Bryon Widner who quit his Outlaw Hammerskins/Vinlanders Social Club douche brothers to have a family, only to realize it's hard to get a job with a face chock-full of Nazi shit tattoos. Such discrimination totally lets him relate to what it's like to be a nigger, so he regrets everything and gets some charity group to pay for his 18 months laser removal procedure, documented in this film. Aside from his cutting up niggers with a straight razor habits he actually comes off as a really likeable guy when he talks about his past, and the inner workings of Americas worst militant white supremacist groups are pretty interesting. It's hard to believe that this guy used to be the muscle of the most notoriously violent racist organization that's nothing but muscle to begin with.

Dumb and Dumber To - 6/10
It was exactly what I expected it to be - a dumb comedy with a simple plot that provided enough laughs to keep me there but not enough to recommend it to anyone.

Hair High (2004) - 7/10. Weird animation movie that's unlike anything I've seen. Not even sure if it's supposed to be a comedy or what, but I couldn't stop watching.

Isn't this based on a French TV series, "Les Revenants"? I meant to check that out.

10/10 is overboard, but it was funny. They've been playing this a lot on cable lately. Peter Berg and Jamie Foxx as the Number 1 contender's manager are the highlights.

And that black girl who is part of Samuel L Jackson's group is fantastic looking.

Got to stick with the 10 on this one. Everything about it is perfect. The cast delivers. And yes the assistant that Cheech was after is super fine.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown (the original) - is it horror? Is it true crime? Is it a comedy? Who knows. But definitely got the pre Jason potato mask and movements down by about 4 years. The trombone kill was fairly unique. 4/10

This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated 4/10
Movie about the MPAA

I think PBS could have produced a much better film about this
corrupt group.

Splice (2009) - 6/10. Horror flick about two engineers creating some genetic mutant monster, played by French model Delphine Chanéac who's so hot even her name is hot. Said mutant is also naked throughout the movie. Pretty good.

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. Good solid film. It is really dark in tone. I'm betting that PG-13 rating was hard fought for. Lots of disturbing imagery. I'll give it a solid 4/5.

Early Onset Alzheimer's is a Bitch : ??/10
I watched a movie the other day and meant to review it here, but now I can't remember what I saw. So either it was completely forgettable or I'm getting senile.

Whiplash 9/10

Fantastic movie. J.K. Simmons gives R Lee Ermey a run for his money as a drill instructor like band leader. Miles Teller was really good as well. It was a surprise to see Paul Reiser in something. Thought he disappeared for a whild. Any musician needs to see this movie.

Birdman 8.5/10
How can you not like Michael Keaton? I don't think this movie would have worked with somebody else in this role. Very interesting camera work in this. They made it all look like one long shot. Ed Norton is great as well.

Hunger Games on for tomorrow night...

Enjoy! Also, why does the girl on the skateboard go through the glass plate in the beginning? Never understood the point of that scene. And . . . Bluto!
