The population explosion would be less of a problem if lighting the fuse didn't feel so good.

'Purple Rain' - Apart from the clips shown in the When the Doves Cry video. I have never seen it. 30+ years after the fact, I thought it held up well. Though, I probably won't watch it again. Unless, I decide to listen to the commentary.

Deadpool - 8/10

It was good, funny and compelling. But it felt like it was lacking something. Maybe the over-hype of it had me expecting more.

I was a Teenage GNR Fan...Now I'm a retired Grandpa:Sam Dunn is a 30-year old anthropologist who wrote his graduate thesis on the plight of Guatemalan refugees. Recenly he has decided to study the plight of a different culture, the old fucks wasting their retirement money on the GNR 3/5 reunion. 5/10

99 Homes. 7.5/10. Michael Shannon was awesome in this. Plays a great Van Alden-type character. Andrew Garfield was very good too. A little overdramatic in parts but it was better than I expected.

Straight Outta Compton. 7.5/10. Not a big NWA fan, but it held my interest. All the actors did a good job, and Paul Giamatti was awesome as the out-of-place old, white jew.

The Witch - 2016 Decent flic, but a bit hard to understand the dialog at times. Definitely one of those "Why the fuck do you not leave!" kind of movies

Did you actually watch the movie?
*spoiler alert*
They did decide to leave at an appropriate time, they just never made it. The ending was awesome.

Fantastic Four (2015) The story was good and a nice change of pace from those fighting for 30 minutes comic book film but the casting was just awful. Its barely 90 minutes so 7/10

Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens
5/10 ?
IDK I guess I'm a chick and just don't get the appeal of these films. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stop me from checking the laundry, a few times.

If you were a kid who saw the original trilogy in theaters in the late 70's - early 80's... you probably would piss in your $8 soda cup before leaving the theater for 3 minutes and missing anything.

If you weren't... then yeah, you probably just thought it was "meh".

Colin Hanks dropped the ball with this film. Had so much potential. The film hammered home 2 facts
The 1st Tower Records was in Sacramento and eventually they sold many franchises in Japan
BIG DEAL!

I thought it would be more about the broader music industry and Tower's place in that. It's ALL about Tower as a company. And judging from this documentary, we're not exactly talking about Apple here, where there's a story arc. We have a company here that did well when people bought music, went out of business when people stopped. Okay.

Not sure if you noticed this or not but where were the critics of Tower Records in this film? Colin Hanks could have devoted X amount of time to the critics of this company and how they impacted
record stores, mom & pop record stores all over the USA.
Anyway, taking away the "cassette and cd singles" from the shelves was a bad move. Tower was greedy. The record companies were also greedy. Neither of them wanted to lower the prices
and the consumer went somewhere else: Target, Best Buy, etc...

True. I was a kid in the late 70's -early 80's, but my parents only took me to the movies when they absolutely could not find a babysitter. What I saw back then probably wasn't age appropriate, unfortunately this now makes Star Wars a whole lot of 'meh'.

After.Life(2009) Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci, Justin long. Not so good but any movie with Christina Ricci naked for 5-10 minutes deserves at least a passing grade so 6/10
