Guess I was a little disappointed because of all the praise it got here.
Book was much better and more unsettling.

it was a well done movie. Not a feel good movie you'd want to see again, kind of like requiem for a dream

Cecil B. DeMented (2000) - 7/10:
John Waters movie with Melanie Griffith playing a Hollywood star who's kidnapped by a bunch of weirdo guerilla film makers at war with mainstream movies. It's definitely deliberate, over-the-top trash, but I liked it.

The Bridesmaid / La demoiselle d'honneur (2004) - 7/10:
Claude Chabrol made a bunch of stinkers late in his career, but this one is really good. Laura Smet is hot and frequently naked, playing one of the creepiest bunny boiler types in movie history.

The War Is Over / La guerre est finie (1966) - 5/10:
Maybe Alain Resnais just isn't for me. I love Yves Montand and I'm a pinko commie, yet this was a drag to finish.

Gold Digger (2016) - 4/10:
God-awful Finnish "rom-com" about some retarded, spoiled blogger bitch, whose only redeeming quality is being played by Minka Kuustonen, who happens to be hot as fuck.

Nebraska - 9/10
Bruce Dern and Will Forte are a aging father and his son, on their way to claim a prize and a bunch of familial shit goes down. Great cast, and it really captured the family dynamic well. Definitely recommend it.

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974) - 7/10:
Only knew Peckinpah from Straw Dogs and had no idea what to expect from this big name. A little long maybe, but justifies the reputation. Has he done anything similar to this? Recommend some shit.

Betty (1992) - 6/10:
One of the more obscure Claude Chabrol films. It's essentially the memoirs of an alcoholic abused woman told by Marie Trintignant to Stéphane Audran. Haven't seen more desperation in a character maybe ever.

Jumper (2008) - 4/10:
Mindless Scifi-Action flick with a completely retarded premise and an annoying dude who was in Star Wars. Samuel L. Jackson as a bad-ass for a change. But Rachel Bilson is hot in it.

No set number it varies according to what's on tv that week and how many hours i have at work. 99% of what i post here are movies im watching for the 1st time, if its something i have seen in the past i very very rarely post a review, thats also on top of all the tv shows i'm following, Those always get priority viewing before any movies.

Hidden Figures - 8/10. The whole "running half a mile" to the bathroom bit got a bit tiresome, especially since it didn't actually happen...

HBO recently aired a documentary about
The Eagles of Death Metal and the tragedy in Paris
"Nos Amis"(my friends)
I knew nothing about this band. Had no idea Josh Homme was involved in creating the group.
The film was incomplete. At times the pace of the movie was revolving around the band
and their incarnation, instead of focusing solely on the tragic night in Paris.
There was some very rare emotions that were shown. Especially the interview the EODM lead
singer conducted upon his return to Paris.
