Wrong heres my post from november 27
Midnight Special(2016) Michael Shannon, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver. Pretty good sci fi movie 8/10

The Choice(2016) Babes galore in this one Teresa Palmer, Alexandra Daddario, Maggie Grace, good stuff 8/10
I don't hit this thread often but The Choice is a shitty lifetime movie at best. No nudity, sappy paint by numbers story line. It's not like they're running around in bikinis washing cars. Come on Glam, all those chicks are hot but their is nothing hot about the movie. SHAME YOU YOU! SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.......

I tried watching Midnight Special half a dozen times, that movie is a mess.

Nice Marky Mark/Michael bay double feature today

Pain and Gain(2013) Marky mark, the Rock, Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Anthony Mackie, Ken Jeong. Good funny movie 8/10

Transformers Age of Extinction(2014) Marky Mark, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Tj Miller. So over the top it was crazy but 2½ hours + is just nuts for this kind of movie 7.5/10

POLLACK, Ed Harris was REAL good, Marcia Gay Harden too. Jennifer Connelly never looks bad. This was before Val Kilmer got fat. Poor Jackson was bat shit crazy and Harris looks exactly like him. He produced the thing too. I like the newer paintings more than the first ones. He gives a painting to the grocer for $5 worth of food. They were always broke. The horrific ENDING. 8/10

THE RUNAWAYS, Dakota Fanning does a good job being a tragic brat. Too bad those teenagers went alcoholic. And Michael Shannon as Kim Fowley was a scream. "Men don't wanna see girls playing guitars, they want them in the kitchen or on their knees. And rock and roll is a blood sport." haha Stooges music is never bad in a movie. Funny the way all these messed up rock bios eventually go so low, then they play Dog while they pass out on dope. I read Cherie Currie makes wood statues with chain saws now in real life. 7/10

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron, Dave Franco, Chloe Grace Moretz, Selena Gomez. They killed a fun franchise with all the sorority feminist bullshit storyline 6/10

Black Dynamite- 8/10. Funny shit, even if you aren't super well-versed in the material it parodies. Yeah, I admit that.
Pootie Tang- 9/10. Shit, I laughed super hard a lot during this. The character's absurd dialect was hysterical. When he's onstage singing and just so seriously killing it with these nonsense lyrics.

Catching up on stuff.

The Washups - MÖTLEY CRÜE's Biopic. It was like one of those VH1 rock movies you see like on Meat Loaf. It was just about girls pulling their pants down in the bathroom and us snorting blow off their asses. 1/10

Logan = 6. Preferred the one when he went to Japan. This film was badly paced. There were some good moments, but also a lot of boring moments. It was pretty inevitable and stupid when they went and stayed with that family. Of course they were going to die! lol

And yeah Wolverine died at the end. Obviously! It is Hugh Jackman's last Wolverine film. Of course he was going to die!

yeah, pretty disappointed. Maybe 5 is a fairer score.

Really awesome movie, with a pretty heavy emotional storyline. Make no mistake though, the action is frenzied in this one. One of the best films of the genre, which was beginning to stagnate (thank you, Deadpool!).

What was the reasoning for the "R" rating on this? Is it just the violence & language?
They swear. There are brutal deaths. And you see boobs (Briefly). One of the best parts of the film now I think about it.

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) - 7/10:
Don't care how it was marketed and if it's a horror film or how it fits whatever franchise, it's an entertaining, unpredictable movie. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is hot in it. Barely recognized her from the awesome Smashed.

Fidelio: Alice's Odyssey (2014) - 6/10:
French indy movie about a woman working on a freighter. Very realistic and a bit depressing, unless Ariane Labed's getting full-frontal naked, which happens enough.

A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) - 5/10:
I really liked I Saw the Devil but this was very underwhelming. This stupid mentally ill/multiple personality twist has been done to death, and leaving zero hints to what's going on til the end doesn't make it any cleverer.

Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (1974) - 8/10:
"Fear Eat Soul" would be a more direct translation, which shows the only weak point of this anti-racist movie: the portrayal of his broken German sounds very unrealistic and reinforces ridiculous stereotypes. No idea if this was intentional for some reason, but it always bothers me. Moroccans are amazing at picking up languages and he speaks like a neo-Nazi putting on a Minstrel show. Otherwise easily the best movie by Rainer Werner Fassbinder that I know.

The Hitcher 1986 - Rutger Hauer, C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Jason Leigh ☆☆☆, It was okay. It's pretty tame by today's standards. Though, I can see how it'd keep you on the edge of your seat in 1986.

Rogue One- What Episode 7 could have been. Other than the missing opening crawl and main title theme, it was awesome. I loved Vader's return to being a badass like in Empire Strikes back, and the cameos of characters like Walrus man and the appearance of 1977 Leia. It was a great film and a welcome addition to the series. 8/10

Moonlight. 4/10. Very little happens in this film. By far the slowest and least interesting of all the 2016 Best Picture nominees that I've seen. Only Arrival comes close. Much preferred Hell Or High Water, Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures...

Hideous Kinky (1998) - 6/10:
This one was disappointing. It's about an English hippie dropout mother in the 70s who tries to bring up her kids by herself in Morocco without money or a clue about anything. All the locations are awesome to look at, the actors are all good, but there's no plot to speak of and no logic to anybody's actions and the whole thing just turns crazy boring and pointless half-way through. Not even Kate Winslet getting her amazing milks out can save this.

Exit Marrakech (2013) - 7/10:
German movie about a father/son relationship to the backdrop of Marrakech's medina and the surrounding mountain regions. Story is predictable but the scenery is beautiful and authentic, with mostly local actors. Hafsia Herzi is hot in it as the hooker with no heart of gold.

Gidget (1959) - 7/10:
Never saw Sandra Dee before, she's got kind of a mongoloid vibe, but she's hot nonetheless. Thank god Sludge is so accepting of retard love or this would sound weird. Good surf trash movie overall.

The Misfits (1961) - 8/10:
Marilyn Monroe in a rather serious role. It's like a Western Noir and it's corny and dated as fuck but somehow works. Everybody is broken and hopeless and she's hot.
