Oldboy - 10/10

I think that director Park Chan Wook can do no wrong, and this movie is proof. This is my favorite of his vengeance trilogy, and probably the funniest. Lady Vengeance was kind of OK, had its moments of greatness but lacked the thrill that Oldboy delivered.

Also, one of the greatest endings I've ever seen. The greatest movie about vengeance. A must see for all cinema fans.

Nine- 2/10. Fucking piece of shit. Marion Cotillard was fabulous, but the rest of the cast... not so much. Even Daniel Day Lewis was disappointing. He talked like Don Cheadle in Hotel Rwanda.

After 2 weeks of watching 10 hours a day of olympic coverage capped off by a gold medal win in curling it was back to the movie network last night for a triple feature

The Ugly truth so many LOL moments 9/10

Management with Jennifer Anniston, Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson the beginning and ending were great but the middle part dragged a bit. The best acting i have ever seen from Anniston 8/10

The taking of pelhman 123, i saw the 1998 version of the movie and this one was much better, Denzel is always good, was rooting for Travolta to get away, the mayor(gandolfini) was probably the funniest part.Fun flick but it featured some dumb shit like the girl begging her bf to say i love you, the rat bitting the sniper, why were there still so many trains running in the city 7/10

Fast and Furious. 6/10 a bit too much plot all the who was the drug baron and who was working for who malarky; or I'd drunk a bit too much! Fast cars and Vin Diesel helped the score! Killed an hour or so.

Artie Lange - Jack and Coke

A lot of his material was recycled bullshit from the radio show, but loving him the way I do it was depressing to see him marginally happy and so ON what turned out to be days before he tried to end it all.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

I don't know that I'd give it a 10, but I'd definitely give it a rock solid 8.

Very entertaining flick.

I saw a D list horror movie called "the Breed" last night. It's about 5 yuppies that go into a summer cabin on an island. On said island, there's a genetically altered breed of dogs that like killing people, and so they do.

I give it a .01/10

It was hilarious, however.

I've watched the Breed, it's so bad you never forget it. Clive Barker has turned into the WalMart of movies.

Year One - 2/10 - Jack Black has officially lowered the bar, another movie I turned off half way through.

Watched Star trek last night. 8/10 - I'm only a casual fan, but I know the back stories (a lot of trekkie friends). I like how they explained everything. Cool to see Nemoy in it. Kinda gives it the old-school seal of approval. Great special effects, but what would you expect? Good acting. Only a couple of "huh?" moments. (Kirk going from a stow-away to First Officer while still a cadet and on probation at that... HUH??) all in all, good flick. Hope they don't fuck up the next one.

Just picked up Zombieland. May watch it later.

Just rewatched a Sludge classic, Decline II. Always a fun time. 7/10.

Paul Stanley in bed with all those women is particularly awkward and hilarious.

Just saw " Couples Retreat ". What a disappointment. Only a couple of parts that made you smile but not laugh out loud. Sucked. I wish I knew it was going to be a chick flick insead of a comedy. It would have saved me some time 4/10. Also rented " The Dark Crystal " for the kids. Hadn't seen it since I was a kid. Kids loved it. Good to take me back also. 8/10

I thought the same thing about Couples Retreat...the one kid was the only funny thing about the movie. I gave it a shot because Vaughn was in it but it kinda sucked.

Watched Zombieland - 6/10 It is what it is. Could have been MUCH better. At the end I was almost hoping they'd all die in the amusement park. Why'd they have to go and kill Bill Murray? Best line... "I saw Eddie Van Halen at the Hollywood Bowl a Couple days ago... He's a zombie." Could have been a hell of a lot more zombie-killing.
