Jurassic World 2/10

I went to see Jurassic World today. All the panning around camera action, topsy-turvy scenes; made me nauseous. Seriously, I left the movie for 5-10 minutes and then re-entered it, only to become nauseous again. I hung out in the lobby waiting for family wishing for a bench to sit on. I haven't been so affected since Cloverfield. (Which sucked.)

7/10 aids tests

Watched this movie recently,..it was like the opposite of the porn doc on Netflix "Hot Girls Wanted".

I watched this with the human with a penis that I let come over sometimes today.
We both found it profoundly sad that she tried to rationalize herself with sad attempts at making others believe she did it for the betterment of women everywhere. She pretended to be proud of herself and so confident in her thought process of changing the world. Then she totally crumbled when it came to her parents.

I liked his Hatchet movies so I looked him up on Netflix to check out other stuff he's done. Then I found Digging Up the Marrow, another documentary style horror flick he did. He's playing himself filming a horror movie and after about 20min in, you'll get what I mean.

I don't think Adam Green was involved in The Houses October Built, which is a good thing for him, because it sucked.

Good Disaster film, about what you would expect people surviving against the odds while people around them are dying, the difference between this and Jurassic is The Rock is awesome and adds an extra point

I'm definitely going to see this one... because... The Rock...

I saw it for his daughter....Alexandra Daddario.....OMG YUM (btw she is 29 in real life)

she was woody harrrelson's side pc in True Detective.... yes THAT girl :)

Jurassic World in 3D. I was really enjoying this film and totally prepared to give it a 7 or even 7.5 until the ridiculous ending which brought the final down to a 6. Effects and 3D are great. Some good thrills and chills that made my wife and daughter jump a couple of times. I understand the need to set up a sequel, but not in such an obvious manner with such little resolution.

I am seeing the film tomorrow and my expectations are very low.
be sure to let us know what you think
5/10 for me

A lot of T&A. Great job by the writers to feature a lot of hot pieces from beginning to end. Too bad Sloan was preggers or else we might have been invited to some nude scenes of her.

Anyway, 5/10 is all I can give the film and that is being generous. The TV show is so much better. Not sure if it is realistic to make a feature film and maintain the edge and humor of the TV show.

Poltergeist 2015. 4/10. It wasn't different enough to demand this remake. The little girl though, she looked a lot like the original Carrie Ann, which was a little creepy.

San Andreas - Terrible Dialogue, Horrible Acting, laughable plot points, I loved it. 8.5/10 Fantastic Visual effects, special effects, and production design.

Jurrasic World. Nothing new here 4/10

Babadook. Saw this on netflix last night. Started out pretty good, but fell apart at the end. Pretty creepy though. 7/10

Paranoia (2013) - 3/10. Senseless corporate thriller with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman. The pretty boy lead was unbearable, the plot sucked hard, and Amber Heard wasn't hot in it nearly enough. I couldn't even finish.

Searching For the Wrong-Eyed Jesus (2003) - 8/10. Artsy pseudo-documentary road movie about some indy country music dude riding through the South. Awesome music and amazing scenery. It's kinda like The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia without the humor. Loved it.

Fruitvale Station 5/10 Once again, a real-life tragedy gets a mediocre film version. Very well acted, just poorly presented. Should have been so much better for such a horrible event.

Sinister (2012) - 7/10. Actual, good horror. I hear people are mostly bitching about the ending, but I thought it was awesome and I didn't see it coming at all. Some of the jump scares were a bit silly and unnecessary, but on the whole there was nothing wrong with the movie. Extra props for the casual mention of Norwegian black metal and then actually having the villain sport classic corpse paint!

Bicentennial Man (1999) - 6/10. Real heart-warming shit full of kindergarten philosophy tainted by Christian platitudes. Not bad.

Grand Canyon (1991) 4/10

It's one of those movies therapists want you to watch so you get "triggered" and realize everybody has to deal with shit.
It does have Steve Martin and Kevin Kline in it, so there's that. And Danny Glover, who is too old for this shit.

We had family classic movie night last night and viewed This is Spinal Tap. 10/10 of course. My 18 yo daughter loved it but my 15 yo son who just started playing guitar couldn't be bothered. Made me want to cry, cry, cry all the way home...
