Looking for a home for my brother's dog. He's not around to take care of him and he's too high maintenance for me.

A couple of months ago, my mom convinced me to adopt a feral kitten she rescued after it got separated from its litter. The kitten is about three and a half months old now, and suddenly it's become undeniably clear that this kitten is a male instead of a female like my mom had told me it was. Even the paperwork from the vet's office says "F" for gender. I guess it's not so easy to tell sometimes, especially when they're young. To me it doesn't matter either way, and I'm sure he doesn't care that his collar is purple and his leash is pink. It's hard to remember to say "he" instead of "she", though. Fortunately it has a gender neutral name. Had I known this was a male cat, though, I probably would have named it David Bowie, since it has one blue eye and one green eye.

We adopted a kitten four years ago that had female on her adoption papers. When we adopted it had a shaved belly and they said she was fixed. We never thought twice about it. We even took it to our vet multiple times and called it she and her. The vet never said anything. Last year the during a check up, the vet said he. I questioned the vet and she said the cat was a boy. We never even thought about it. We haven't told the kids. She's still a girl to us.

Well, I can't feel too bad about it if the vet's office got it wrong, too. I'm more used to dogs, and I guess I expected a cat's anatomy to be similar to that of a dog. Both male and female dogs have dangly bits in the back, but a male dog has an impossible-to-miss penis right in the middle of its belly. A male cat's penis is completely hidden. My kitten had some puffiness back there, but from a distance, it didn't look too much unlike my female dogs' hindparts. Since there was no penis to be seen, I had no reason to think that the kitten was not a female. Until the past week, when he grew a pair.

I was told, a long time ago, by an old lady who said you look for the dots on their arses. A male has 3 dots and a female has two. I know that sounds funny, but that's what she said.

Good for you, man. I know you are an avid reader, so this seems like a great fit.

Thanks Bro. I appreciate it. My partner has a good head for business and I've got a pretty good head for books. I'm excited, it's going to be an interesting ride.

I love used bookstores, but is that a sound investment in 2017? Most of them around here have closed.

Used bookstores have bounced back a bit in the last couple years, they'll never be what they once were, but there's still a niche to be filled. The guy I'm partnering with bought it a year ago, before that it had been around for 15 years. He's got a solid business plan and so far as reached all of his monthly goals, or at least gotten within 90%. While neither one of us are probably going to get rich, it's a decent side gig for me, and we both have ideas on various ways to expand beyond just the brick and mortar aspect. Sure, there's some risk, really not much. I took the proposal to someone I trust who knows his shit when it comes to financials and P&Ls and he told me it's a good, low risk deal, so I decided to take the plunge.

commuter train broke down at the station this morning. not the first time these
trains failed to do their job(get commuters to work on time)
since the engineer could not say how long the repairs would take, there was a mass exodus
off the train. i drove to work instead.

Next to the casino/club where I work, my buddy runs a flower shop. After the flower shop flooded over the weekend, my buddy threw out hundreds of pounds of flowers, which were left sitting on the curb. I grabbed a few bundles of roses on my way from from work. I grabbed too many, because the smell quickly overpowered the car. Later that night, I posted my usual ad on the Craigslist personals site. I figured that a hook-up would be a good way to unload some of these flowers, so in my ad, I mentioned that I'd bring 100 roses to the date. I got 5 times as many replies as usual (n=5) !!! Ladies sure like flowers. I sorted through the responses and picked the one that had the best grammar. When I got to the hotel, my date kept asking for the flowers up front. I told her that I'd go out to the car to get the flowers after the hook-up. I also told her that my buddy could supply her with flowers regularly if she was willing to go downtown every weekend. I'm not sure why I was arrested. I had to call my wife to bail me out of jail. She is PISSED; her mood swings always ruin our anniversary!

All cell services in the maritime provinces are down. All hell is breaking loose. It's a real Y2K scenario. People are looking up from their phones and realizing they're now married with kids.

Most everyone is aware of the Metallica/Lou Reed collaboration Lulu. But a lot of people aren't aware of their long lost Don Ho collaboration - Hono-Lulu. :)

It wasn't all cell service in the maritimes. it was just carriers that use Bell towers. I have Rogers and had no problems. It did cause a lot of chaos though.

Pretty much all of this area is Bell. My Facebook page was blowing up with people complaining about their cell not working. It was pretty funny. I don't have a cell phone so it wasn't a problem for me.

After being laid off for 15 months, going through a 6 month hiring process; the hubs got a new job in January 2017. It was full of stress, commute time, and little compensation. He got laid off today due to cutbacks. I am so happy because I was sure it would put him in an early grave. He is upset because he lost his job; I told him it really wasn't one worth keeping.

I hope things get better for him, Jodi. In the meanwhile, he should destress and sign up for the unemployment benefits that he has earned and is entitled to.

I saw a woman walk out of the hot yoga joint and, i kid you not, she looked exactly like Bobby Blotzer in yoga pants and sports bra. And, she was drenched in sweat from doing hot yoga, which made her look even more disgusting.

Since most people get vacations, this is mundane to them. However, I just booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on North Top Sail Beach for us and the girls for next week. Cheaper than a hotel by far and overlooks the beach. Prices of hotels on the beach have went up crazy high since I last stayed in one. When I was 13. I am beyond excited. Last week this year with my daughter and it'll be lazy drinks on a beach.

I get to go have another hearing test done today. Yay me.

I had one done 3 years ago and it was not good. To put it mildly. "You have the hearing ability of a 90 year old woman, which would be fine if you were 90, but...you're 37."

So let's see how bad it is now at 40 shall we?

***edited***

Well...that's not good. It has gotten much worse since then. Evidently I have severe bordering on profound loss in my left ear...and profound loss in my right. I knew I was freakin deaf but yeesh. Ah well. It's still correctable to a point so that's the path I'll take...as soon as I rustle up oh...six grand.
