Waiting to get booked for an MRI. My lumbar X-Ray showed an infection in the disc of my spine. Lovely.

Glammer: Glad to hear you're out of hospital and on the mend.

Ho Lee Sheet!
My neighbor (the needy one with the special needs/autistic kid), called me as I was leaving work because she desperately needed a document notarized on base. So I drove her on base and had to stop at the MP office for directions because she had no clue where she was going. Again. We got where we needed to be and they refused to notarize her documents and suggested she just get them photocopied. Apparently she wanted her 2014, 2015, 2016 tax returns notarized "to make them more legal".

Well been out of the hospital for just over a week and im finally done with one pill so that will mean 8 less pills per day.

Still have to take 12 at breakfast and one at dinner but 13 per day is already way better than 21

At mum's for a few days. Been two hours and we haven't had an argument yet. Must be a record.

Found this thread about a year ago and slowly read my way thru, fairly regularly, kinda like a book - bedtime etc. Finished just the other day. Laughed out loud on several occasions.

Heading out on vacation for the next 12 days. Think I might grow me a set of lambchop sideburns.

I did some boat repairs yesterday morning for an old friend of my Dad's. He was telling me how all the new boats have Volvo diesels in them. The only thing is, he kept calling them Vulvas. I had to keep turning around so he couldn't see me chuckling.

Today is our wedding anniversary. My husband is 120 miles offshore albacore fishing. Not big on anniversaries, etc. But this one seems...I don't know...wistful. He called on the satellite phone for a weather report. We both forgot about what day it is.

I 've got Billy Joel's "Downeaster Alexa" running through my head.

So if you see my Downeaster "Alexa"
And if you work with the rod and the reel
Tell my wife I am trawling Atlantis
And I still have my hands on the wheel

Gets me every time.

Thanks Jodi. Not bummed. That's the thing. It was a strange emotion. Thinking about him out there in a smallish boat with no other boat around. A little worry and a lot of pride. He's fished his entire life pretty much (except for a stint in the USMC) since he was 11 (during the summers) and here he is, still going at it. He had black hair when I married him, now he's all silver. Bah...I'm so maudlin.

That's definitely one of Billy Joel's better tunes, IMO. Happy wedding anniversary, by the way.

A few hours ago some dude with a full, thick beard and lots of tattoos walked up and down S.E. 6th ave in Portland banging on a snare drum with one stick. It's raining a little. Locked my keys in my car earlier today. Thank God my trunk doesn't latch as I was able to fold down the back seat and get into my car that way. My wife made a kick ass lasagna tonight and I'm chowing down on that while not trying to slobber over the keyboard. My wife just told me to get off the computer and go wash the dishes. Bye.
