Bill would have fixed that again if Hillary won. We'd have pot too.DEATH ROW JOE wrote:Spending and debt going through the roof under Trump
And yet "BUILD THAT WALL!!!" was one of the reasons he got voted in. Anyone think there'll be some buyer's remorse from the Trumptards now?Rageman wrote:BREAKING: Schumer, Pelosi announce deal with Trump to protect young immigrants; will include border security, but no wall.

No. "In Trump We Trust" is now nothing more than an anti-liberal stance. It really doesn't matter to those people what he does or doesn't do. Trump can't fuck it up bad enough for the idiots to drop him because he's the only egg in that basket. Not building the wall is FAR less of a problem to them than actually cooperating with people like Schumer and Pelosi. But even that rolls off pretty easy.dmbrocker wrote:And yet "BUILD THAT WALL!!!" was one of the reasons he got voted in. Sadly, this is true. How much longer until 2020?exitflagger wrote:No. "In Trump We Trust" is now nothing more than an anti-liberal stance. They know intelligent people hate him. That's all they require from him.

It's slowly starting to happen. Check out the twitter feeds of Ann Coulter, Joe Walsh, James Woods, and even the big giant head himself, Sean Hannity.dmbrocker wrote:And yet "BUILD THAT WALL!!!" was one of the reasons he got voted in. Wait, so Trump says the wall is already being built? "In the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls..." So now Trump is trying to convince people the project has already physically commenced?dmbrocker wrote:And yet "BUILD THAT WALL!!!" was one of the reasons he got voted in. Can someone maybe go to the location where this is happening like the dude who took video outside of Joel Osteen's megachurch?

No one is going to care that he re-tweeted this. We live in a time where a president being boorish and uncouth about his former opponent is the norm.TenBenny wrote:The golfing tweet from this morning is disgusting. Whatever Hillary's said about Trump, she's not, to my knowledge, alluded to violence against him. It's completely inappropriate behavior for a president, but he's not gonna stop. Despite what Republicans thought, or still think, he can't be tamed.
Make no mistake, that was just a show for the base. Those folks will applaud him and he'll get his ego fed. It's win-win for him, but only in that bubble. Outside the bubble, the view of things like this is very different.

I don't know, a lot of people did seem to care. I've heard/seen plenty of horrified reactions. But you're right that this is the new norm and we shouldn't be surprised.Pierce Foreskin wrote:No one is going to care that he re-tweeted this. Violence has been a pretty sturdy staple of his agenda, so just another drop in the bucket, really.

By the way, can we just talk about Spicer at the Emmys last night? Seems like the wrong move/tone having him there ham it up for laughs considering he was an enabler of Trump's lies. It also kind of undermined Melissa McCarthy's awesome satirical portrayal of him.

ETA: Spicer was rewarded last week with a fellowship at Harvard University. So the normalization of Spicer will continue.
