"High" White House sources say Trump will appoint Louise Turpin to head the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

It's being said that there were over 300 women's marches around the US this past weekend, and some in other countries as well. That's incredible. A big focus of many of them was voter registration. I hope those kinds of numbers are a great indicator of the strength against the evil empire we'll see come November.

Furthermore, the asshole Trump actually thought he could tweet positively about the women's marches and make it sound like they were all supporting his work in setting record employment numbers for women. Actually, I've seen some different interpretations of the tweet. Either he was desperately trying (and ultimately failing) to diffuse the negative impact of these marches, was truly clueless about what they were marching about or was simply bitterly trolling people who were speaking out against him.

According to an FBI affidavit, Griesemer, for whom no age was given, called CNN 22 times on Jan. 9 and 10, railing against African-Americans, Jews and CNN from the same phone number that was used in September to communicate threats against an Islamic center in Ann Arbor.

Spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said Tuesday that due to “scheduling and logistical issues,” Mrs. Trump will not attend.

The White House had previously said she would accompany the president on the trip to the annual summit in a Swiss Alpine resort.
