Medically, what would happen if I yanked out a hemorrhoid ?

I've had one external hemorrhoid for about 30 years. Not really a big deal.

It's about half an inch long. I can grip it easily.

In a moment of insanity, I almost said the hell with it, and just ripped it off.

I suppose I would have regretted it.

You'd bleed a hell of a lot. A haemorrhoid is basically a varicose vein hanging out of your anus. Ripping it out is ripping out a blood vessel.

It would get infected pretty quickly, it would bleed profusely, and it would probably hurt really bad.

I think it's basically a varicose vein, so blood would be an integral part of it. I'd hope it spurts like a severed jugular.
