Salt Water Intrusion.
Basically because the weather has been so hot, plus no rain, the Gulf water is evaporating at an alarming rate. And what's left is salt water.
Due to happen around mid October. Yes, those in charge are trying their best to fix this mess, but who knows how long this will last. Days, weeks, months . . .
I could blame Global Warming, because I have been screaming for years the first thing to go will be our water supply, but why bother.
So kindly file this under THIS CAN/WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR CITY SOMEDAY.
P.S. I wanna move . . .

But Steve Segal is down there ain't he?? Jefferson Parish Reppin Master of all skills? He can probably accommodate many citizens with his sweat and a couple solar stills while meditating and keeping the streets safe..
But seriously, this sounds like a fukin problem if I ever heard one.. and although I can look it up myself, for the sake of stimulating conversation, where does the party zone usually get their fresh water from? Rain is obvious but what else? Do they pipe it in the aqueducts like parts of California??

If the good ol’ U.S. of A. were under siege by Putin and the Russkies, would he reconsider?GreatWhiteSnake wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 5:08 pmPretty sure he's preoccupied trying to prop up Putin...
