What are your Thanksgiving plans?

Football and stuffing food down your gullet? Do you host the festivities or do you take part elsewhere?

I'm working a double, so a 16 hour shift, eight hours of which is time and a half, plus getting paid for the holiday itself. So I'm basically working 16 hours and getting paid for 36.
I can eat the world's blandest meat on my day off.

I get to work AV at a church-sponsored dinner event.

They do an after-service pot luck each Sunday. This is supposed to be 'bigger', with everyone bringing something.

I've worked at this place for years. I've watched women scoop up food off their floorboards, put it back in the pot, and serve it to the crowd 10 minutes later. I've seen stuff put away after service, and brought out for the next 8 Sundays or until it's gone. I have no idea how they haven't killed one of these old members from food poisoning.

I'll have McDonalds or something hidden in the sound booth.

Going to another family member's house TG evening. On Friday, we have just our adult kids and their SOs over. We've done away with formal dining. I'll also have the parade on (although I don't watch it - just background viewing), the dog show, and football. And all of that makes no difference to me. The only thing I want is NO WORK.

Just Mrs. Gaz and myself.
Small turkey breast, small ham and sides.
Edibles, vodka and football.
4 day weekend, maybe I’ll pick up my guitar for the 1st time in 3 weeks

Any good "family fight" stories from yesterday over politics, sports, money, or the fact you just hate your family?

So how did this all end up?

Were u exhausted after the 16 hours? Any interesting bullshit happen at work on the holiday?

Were u able to get laid the day before or the day after Thanksgiving at least?

Did u have the day off the next day, and did u eat any Turkey the day after?

Have u gotten ur paycheck with that day's work, and how did it feel when u saw the money?

It ended up well.

I was tired as fuck, yes. It's a crazy amount of walking.

Were u able to get laid the day before or the day after Thanksgiving at least?
I didn't get laid until the following Monday evening!

Did u have the day off the next day, and did u eat any Turkey the day after?
I didn't have the next day off, and I didn't have any turkey the next day, either. I did have some Thanksgiving afternoon. The chow hall's holiday meals are actually pretty decent. Everything else is shit, but the holiday meals are okay.

Have u gotten ur paycheck with that day's work, and how did it feel when u saw the money?
I did, and it felt great. I took all the overtime as PTO to be used at a later date, so I won't see the cash until I take a vacation.
