The "controversial" stuff that got them cancelled was pretty tame by today's standards.

CBS should admit "We Were Wrong" and air a Smothers Brothers retrospective special with the same name. It would probably get huge ratings.

As shitty as TV is these days, I'd watch reruns of Smothers Brothers, Laugh In, and Sonny and Cher in 2023 if some service streamed entire series. I watched these as a kid when my parents had them on, and much of the risque humor went over my head in the mid-70s. It would be interesting to rewatch as an adult.

The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour had one of the best writing staffs ever, including Steve Martin and Bob "Super Dave Osborne" Einstein.
