I've actually been on a quest for a new toaster after my old one died last month.

I got one at Target that was in a sealed box because I was like: "It's a fucking toaster. It will be fine."

So I get the fucking thing home and hooked up, and the slots are just SO fucking short that I can't fit my regular Trader Joe's Sourdough Sandwich bread in them, much less the more oblong French Loaf I like.

So I looked and looked for this simple fucking thing, a two-slice toaster with extra long slots and NO buttons, settings or smart functions ~just a knob or slider for how dark you want your toast.

.....annnnnnnnd, the world is just like: "FUCK YOU. YOU WANT TO MAKE TOAST, YOU GOTTA HAVE AT LEAST THREE FUCKING BUTTONS. ALSO, YOU *MIGHT* BE ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING WITHOUT BUTTONS AND SHIT, BUT THEN YOU GET SHORT SLOTS BECAUSE FUCK YOU. WE WILL, HOWEVER, MAKE THOSE SLOTS EXTRA WIDE, AND ONE OF THE BUTTONS YOU DON'T WANT WILL SAY: "bagel" WHICH IS THE ONLY FUCKING SIZE THING THAT WILL FIT IN A SLOT THIS SHORT ANYWAY. ALSO: FUCK YOU".

I briefly even looked at vintage toasters because the old ones are wayyyyyyyyy better built, but decided I didn't want to fuck with 40 year old heating elements and electro magnets.

I admitted defeat earlier today and ordered one off Ebay. Two extra long slots...and three fucking buttons.

I mean, what kind of fucking douchebag wants this shit?????
