Eddie wasn't Asian. I used to work with a guy of Asian ethnicity who seemed proud to tell me stories of his 8-year-old daughter's piano lessons and smacking her in the head for whining, fat-fingering the ivories, not practicing, etc., etc., etc. He referred to himself proudly as a tiger dad.
