Personally, it this little Mexican spot about 2 miles from my house, delivery fee $0.99. Great chips and queso, chicken tacos, too. Also, I have to DD Pizza Hut due to the city limit parameters Pizza Hut will not deliver to in my subdivision. Life is rough lol.

I have never ordered food for delivery. Ever. Not even pizza. I've been at places where food has been delivered, but I've never ordered it myself. I finally, even though I despise it, ordered groceries for curbside pickup because I have a broken foot and can't go shopping myself.

When the pandemic began, we used it all the time, though most places here still offered carry-out service. We were just lazy. When I began WFH in 2020, it was McD's Egg White McMuffin and a large coffee two or three times a week. So yeah, $6 at the window...$15 on my porch + tip. Stupid.

Since 2022, we have stopped and become unlazy. The exception is pizza places that use DD as their delivery service rather than hire their own drivers.

Now? I use the apps to order pickup at nearby places just to avoid having to order over the phone. Or I request contactless delivery and just have them leave it at the door. That's how much of an asshole I've become!

It all started a few years ago. I ordered Chinese food for lunch. Literally just 12 dollars and I tipped the guy 2 dollars. He honestly looked at me and said "only 2 dollars for me?" I wanted to throw him out the fucking window! 2 dollars is nothing... but on a 12 dollar bill? Dude...

Then some big black dude delivered pizza to me once and I saw him walking towards the house with one hand carrying the pizza TILTED! and the other hand holding his phone saying "nobody's tipping today"... I tip 10-15% even on delivery so fuck him.

And then the time I ordered pho soup and the fucker spilled it all over the wall outside my door. I yelled and him and told him to take his fucking spilled bag of food and get off my property! Yeah...that's me. Asshole DeMarco. Fuck 'em!

I have in the past, but never in Vegas. I live walking distance to so many options I might consider DoorDashing elsewhere, so there's no point.

Never. I have the Chipotle app, and use to do a 1 click order and go pick it up when it was ready. Those fuckers made it the size of a supermarket frozen burrito twice! never again.

Also often a price surge for ordering on the app for convenience and picking up. Just call the damn place, or order on their site.

I will always order online or on an app and pick up myself. I am not that lazy to get my food.

DD is my area is just being lazy unless you are disabled. I see what some of the drivers look like when I go in to get my doggies a plan McDouble. The DD are waiting for orders too. Most are obese women in pajama clothes. They look like hell and maybe haven't taken a shower in weeks with a cigarette hanging out of their mouth. Maybe one step off homelessness. I will pass. There are gross people and then there are over the top gross ppl. Those DD are over the top.

Recently the bulk of my deliveries have been groceries from Safeway. And many times the customer is elderly, frail and unable or scared to go shopping. They usually tip well. I don't mind doing that at all. Met some really sweet old folks. Hell I'm one now that I'm 60. And I'm not a fat woman in pajamas with a cigarette dangling or anywhere near homelessness...
