I am not much of a drinker or gambler but if you have the money and the time, I think Vegas is a great place to see some great shows and have some great meals. That being said, I was in Vegas about a year or 2 ago, and while there were lots of people out and about in the steets, etc. I really didn't see that many people at the casinos. Do you think all of Vegas is really hemorrhaging money?! Its all corporate, everywhere is now over priced. Everywhere. The Strip is nice to see, but I am really curious. I know a few people go to drop serious money gambling andmaybe a few people go spend a ton on clothes or whatever, but are there still that many rich people who can support Vegas when now it is like everywhere else in terms of expense?

Not even close. Three straight years of record profits, and Vegas is the only city whose downtown recovery has not only rebounded to pre-COVID activity levels, but exceeded them.

Las Vegas isn't a place for poor people to visit. Casinos don't focus on broke 50-year-olds posting threads in the Sludge Lounge. They focus on the high rollers, as they should. When Formula 1 was here in November, dealers made a fortune that weekend. Table dealers at the Wynn raked in almost a million dollars in tips on Saturday night alone. That was almost $3K per dealer, when a normal Saturday night is $300-400 each.

If you're broke, just stay home and go to a movie or something. Save up your nickels and dimes, and maybe you could come visit in 2026.

This girl Norma has a lot of Vegas tips. https://www.youtube.com/@NormaGeli Poor people visit Vegas all the time. Those are the people walking the strip drunk stopping in random casinos to play nickel slots.

Things I love
Hearing about people moving to LA failing - moving back home defeated and sad

Hearing how people don’t understand Vegas and how to have fun. Vegas is for the elite now Thank God. Dumbf*cks walk Vegas strip. They don’t realize how to get around properly and with class

Vegas real fun is without gambling and shows. If this is your Vegas plan you lost in life- don’t visit go plan a trip to some sh*t hole like Cincinnati and watch movies at AMC

Vegas is all about private limos-guest lists- real places to eat at not the garbage you want.

Just give up

Gambling is the dumbest thing ever. All those "high rollers" playing those boring games and losing money. There's nothing cool about that.

Went to Vegas in Nov 2022 for my third time, stayed at 4 Queens for 10 nights because fuck resort fees and 2 nights at The Linq, loved being on Fremont Street and got to see the awesome Spandex Nation, gambled a bit but being from Australia paying tax on gambling is fucked so was not worth it, Deuce bus was my main source of travel and a great way to get around, did a bit of tourist shit and a lot of drinking, not much food as I had weight loss surgery 5 months earlier, had intentions of seeing Billy Idol but completely forgot about the gig, was definitely crowds and a lot of fun

Everything keeps getting comped including endless room nights, so they come back for more and casinos bend over backwards for them. Like I mentioned with F1, that's a lot of $$$ in the pockets of the dealers when it comes to tips. Bob from Piedmont isn't going to spend the same amount of money playing penny slots, let alone tipping as much, so... fuck Bob. It's cool when they're spending their money on liquor, gambling and whores in Las Vegas, so as long as they keep that up, that's all we care about. Fuck schools.

Gambling can be fun, as long as you aren't a jackass that gets addicted to it. Nobody is taking money with them when they die, and if you played your cards right and are on the "house money" portion of life, why not? What else would LAglamrocker spend money on? His wife and kids?

Smart thinking. Fremont Street is the best part of Vegas. Unfortunately, Spandex Nation is out at Fremont Street Experience now, after they revamped their collection of house bands in January. Deuce is a great way to get back and forth on the Strip and Downtown.
