GOP controlled house just passed a bill which requires Obama to enforce the federal marijuana laws (along with any other federal law, it's not only directed at pot).

Re: House approve anti-pot law
Majority leader Harry Reid said the bill would be "dead on arrival" and the President would veto it.

Still, can they? It's an implied power, not enumerated. Exactly how much oversight do they have over the President himself?DEATH ROW JOE wrote:Congressional oversightDanzig in the Dark wrote:Can Congress tell the President how to do his job?

Re: House approve anti-pot law
They need a three judge court to issue an order. They can't simply order the president to enforce the law as they want. The bill allows Congress to go to a three judge court for this reason (using excessive discretion when enforcing the law).Danzig in the Dark wrote: Still, can they? Republican leadership is retarded.
Just like gay marriage, fewer and fewer Republican voters give a shit about this stuff by the day.

Do they have any sense at all? Really? Why do they keep isolating themselves from voters?

Because they honestly think only old, white men vote. And they are doing what they can to ensure that is what happens.TravisBicklesMohawk wrote:Do they have any sense at all? Really? Why do they keep isolating themselves from voters?
