returning military are on a two week surveillance before they return home. if there's an indication of trouble, they receive more counseling once home.
but, i guess i could be lying.
that guy in california killing cops is a victim, too?!
First of all, I'm not a nurse - I'm a therapist. That's been common knowledge around here for damn near 10 years.
Second, the cop killer isn't a victim because nobody took him under their "expert" wing and offered to rehabilitate him using clinical procedures without a clinical license.
Third, if you had ever worked at or spent a considerable amount of time in a VA hospital, you'd know that exit interview doesn't mean shit. It's how they clear themselves of responsibility and dump it on Veteran's Affairs to (not) deal with.
So no, you're not lying - you're just talking out of your ass. SSDD.
i know you're not a nurse, and i apologize, didn't mean to lump you in w/ mm.
i should have said two of you in the healthcare field.

that's ridiculous. so chris kyle was asking for whatever he got for trying to help someone? no one said he was diagnosing and treating him. so, routh was a victim because kyle was trying to treat him and the military wasn't?
as for me talking out my ass, yeah sure why not...
i have a friend who is still receiving counseling 3 yrs after his last tour.
where as many veterans may not receive the ultimate care that should be afforded to them, i do believe the military is trying to improve that, sadly if not for anything else but public relations.
however, it's much better care than returning 1990's vets and vietnam vets received.
the government says they care for and stand by their military, are people saying that's not true? *shock* *awe*
if all else fails, affordable healthcare is in effect and pre-existing conditions shouldn't be an obstruction, right?
