Seriously, are the people in charge of the N.R.A. insane, or do they actually think this way? And what's worse is that they think Americans think this way.

I wonder how many people will dump the NRA after this.

I cannot believe it's seriously gotten to this point as to bring up the president's kids into the gun laws fight..

EVERY president's children have been protected the same way, because of it being the highest job in the land..
EVERY president's children (both Rep and Dem) are and have been targets for idiots who despise the president and his administration.. There is a reason for the added protection. We're not just talking from disgruntled Americans, but I'd imagine that Iran and a few other middle eastern countries insurgents would love to get their hands on a US president's children or spouses..

Had McCain/Palin in 2008 or Mittens in 2012 have won the election I guarantee their children would have the same armed protection that the NRA is claiming is unfair now..
Of course I seriously doubt the NRA would have stooped to using their children for their attack ads.

Trying to make it like average American kids are similar targets as a president's children is redundant and cowardly.. I am a proud gun owner, but I'm so glad I dumped my NRA membership years ago..

The NRA has become extremely paranoid and stupid..

I will say this, the NRA has one hell of a business model. People all over the country send them money and then turn around and do the bulk of their campaigning for them!

The NRA makes more enemies every day.

I don't even see why people pay attention to them. They only have 4 million members which is barely over 1% of the population. They are a smaller minority than many ethnic groups!

Did you know that all the senators and congressmen have armed security around them at their jobs in the Capitol building?

Why do they have armed security when myself and many other Americans do not have armed guards protecting us during our days at work?

Are the NRA just a bunch of elitist hypocrites?
