As a veteran, I certainly recognize that this weekend's violence and killing of Chris Kyle were a tragic and sad event. My condolences and prayers go out to Mr. Kyle’s family. Unconstitutional and unnecessary wars have endless unintended consequences. A policy of non-violence, as Christ preached, would have prevented this and similar tragedies. -REP

Who the fuck treats PTSD at a gun range?? I have not followed this story that closely so this is the first I have heard of that part. Jesus, that is dumb. The whole thing is sad and tragic but he probably should have let the professionals help this guy.

I did find it very ironic that at a time that some people in this country are proclaiming we need MORE guns to be able to defend ourselves, a former SEAL sniper gets gunned down at a GUN range. I can't be sure, but I am betting he was armed while he was there.

I think it is pretty clear how I feel about murders these days, but even I have to agree with you 100% that Routh is a victim. Unfortunately, since this occurred in Texas and Kyle is some sort of American Hero, I guess the prosecution will be out for blood, ie: the death penalty. What Routh really needs is a mental hospital and PROPER treatment for what this country has done to him while he was serving it.

Hell, without an MD, even with an MD, it would be totally irresponsible and dangerous for an OB-GYN to try and perform a kidney transplant. This man has NO business trying to treat him, no matter how good his intentions. I am sure not every therapist is able to treat severe PTSD, nor should be. Someone with no training and no license certainly shouldn't be "taking a whack at it".
