Obama cut taxes too (payroll tax) and extended the Bush tax cuts completely in 2010 and then again in 2013 for most brackets. In fact, all but the over $400k tax cuts are now permanent. Seems like doubling down to me. With that as the reality, these are now the Bush/Obama tax cuts and any and all impacts positive or negative should be recognized in that context. Don't see any way around that.

Other than that, outside of the healthcare disaster created, we've gotten nothing from Obama that we wouldn't have gotten from John freaking McCain and that's pretty sad. Except McCain probably could have brokered some real deals with Congress without every single thing being a made up, self inflicted crisis.
