I wish I could find a handful of long, lost qualludes.

Reasoning to follow: I would brag about having some, have one framed, donate one to the college, and take a couple.

Me too. I have always wished I had the opportunity to try ludes. I call them ludes because that's what all the disco people used to say.

The last time I had 'ludes was in '95, when a friend of mine's older brother got out of jail and still had some stashed.

Before that it was the Van Halen 5150 tour. I took a 'lude and drank a 2 liter of Sun Country Wine Coolers.

Man, I was FUCKED.UP.

What's the story with driving and ludes?

Is it a good idea? To drive on ludes? Should people do that?

I think I'm the only person in the history of 'lude taking who never wrecked a car.

I swear to Christ, I know a guy who wrecked THREE cars in ONE night on those fucking things.

One time when I did it I thankfully had a lucid moment just before something horrible would have happened. I found myself driving in a shallow ditch off the wrong side of the road and I threw on the brakes about 30 feet before ramming headlong into a huge concrete culvert. In my father's truck. I was completely blind fucked up at the wheel. I left the truck in the ditch and walked back to my buddy's house and passed out in the carport.

That was scary as shit.

I took them once or twice after that but I made sure to give somebody my keys before I did it. That shit is WAY worse than driving drunk.

Yeah, but who the hell ever took a 'lude or nine without drinking alcohol?

Well, if I said I had some french fries you'd assume I had some ketchup with them, right? I know I washed them down with something. Of course I was a near-suicidal teenager when I did this. I haven't seen a quaalude since the 80s.

I've always wondered what it felt like to take 'ludes without drinking.

Okay, maybe not always, but as soon as they stopped making them I did.

I haven't seen them since 1989. My friend and I bought them from our dealer Dusty Trail (that was his real name). We got super fucked up on them and Thunderbird or some other brand of elcheapo wine.

Woke up the next day wondering what happened. Evidently, we had the times of our lives according to our friends.

just finished reading Al Jourgenson's book and he mentions a time he was driving his motorcycle while on qualudes ... of course, he crashed.
