The Cen/Rock match was pure slop from beginning to end. Then to hug it out at the end was really lame
The CM Punk bump on the table was nasty looking, like the guy landed on concrete. I thought that he may have broke his leg on the edge of the table.

the last three matches, esp. Punk/Taker, made the PPV. Go out of your way to watch that, or buy the blu ray/dvd when it comes out just for that. So damn good!

Okay. No Claudio Castagnoli (I mean, who really needs title matches with people who don't suck?), so people could enjoy seven Puff Daddy songs and god knows what other crap I fast-forwarded. Fuck, they could have shown that and Barett vs. RealWorld fag and a resulting US/Intercontinental unification match just in the time it took fucking Undertaker to waddle to the ring.
Hell, seeing Petey Williams back on Impact was more exciting than anything that happened at Wrestlemania. I feel cheated even downloading that shit.

Only great match last night was CM Punk vs. Undertaker. After that I turned it off. I did have a friend who got a free trip to the show out of it because he is good friends with Seth Rollins.

Mania was boring as fuck. The worst one I've ever seen, and I've seen all or part of every one. Everything was predictable. Total bullshit of a PPV. WWE should be ashamed of themselves. Boring, boring, boring. The only thing that entertained me was when Punk did the Undertaker's "off the rope" move and pinned him like Taker usually does. So 99% of the FOUR HOUR PPV was unwatchable.

Possibly bullshit... guess we'll find out in a couple hours:
And a sneak-peek at Cena's custom belt plates:This is from Mike Johnson at PWInsider, as of 4:20PM ET:
This is all developing as I write this, but WWE is working re-write massive parts of tonight's Raw as The Rock is not there as originally planned.
The word backstage is that he left for Los Angeles this morning. WWE sources indicate this caught the company completely off guard and there's a lot of heat on Rock at the moment.
There had been talk of shooting a major angle with Rock to begin building Wrestlemania 30, possibly an angle with Undertaker or Brock Lesnar (we've heard both discussed but mostly Lesnar) and all that is out the window.
Update (4:30PM ET):
The original script for Raw was set to feature The Rock opening the show with a promo about losing the WWE title to John Cena.
The promo would have led to Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman confronting Rock and laying him out, setting the seeds for a future PPV bout between the two.
With Rock bolting home without notice, WWE is currently re-writing the show. It's "chaos backstage" according to one talent we've heard from.

The crowd chanting Fandango's theme the whole rest of the night was gold. It seems like the the guy is having no problem getting over and that makes me glad. Dude pulls the character off without a hitch.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
For all the whining we do in this thread wrestlemania has been really really good for many years in a row now. This year was not good IMO. Cena vs Rock was what I expected but nothing more, Taker vs Punk was ok, HHH vs Lesnar wasn't good at all IMO. Nobody cared for any of the other matches.
I agree but CM Punk is the master of that stuff. He always follows that formula in all his big matches. I thought Taker vs Punk was great on an athletic level. Cm Punk really stepped up and performed well but I didn't like how they laid out the match. The second half didn't make much sense. It was just finishing move, kick-out, reversal, reversal, finishing move....on and on.Royal Dudeness wrote: -Cena/Rock was meh. I'm tired of the whole kick out of countless finishers schtick. That's pretty much how WWE books all their top matches now to add "suspense" but it's gotten really predictable. It was great with Undertaker/HBK, but now it's overkill.

Seriously? At least the last three were fucking terrible. Nothing but celebs and has-beens and main-eventers with no business main-eventing. It's become a PPV I just expect to suck.FullDJacket wrote:For all the whining we do in this thread wrestlemania has been really really good for many years in a row now.

Yep. I mean the Undertaker matches have just been incredible for many years now (this years match was not up to par). Last years Cena vs Rock was very exciting with all the build-up....same thing the year before with Rock as the "host". Punk vs Jericho was great last year....this year was basically one ok match and a lot of filler IMO.SebastianLeeDanzig wrote:Seriously? At least the last three were fucking terrible. Even stupid moments like Snooki and John Morrison that make me smile. I like the spectacle vibe. This year was not like that.

As noted earlier, The Rock announced on Twitter the he had tore his ab and abductor tendons during his match with John Cena at WrestleMania 29.
Former WWE star Carlito took to his Twitter following the announcement to call the Rock out, stating that the injury may be due to steroid use.
“Rock tore his ab & adductor tendons? Hmm, I guess instead of getting in tremendous shape for mania…he got in TREN-mendous shape!”, the ex-WWE star wrote.
For those of you who are unaware, Steroid.com lists Tren as one of the most popular steroids to date. The site notes that some of the drugs benefits include “increased muscle mass, increased strength, and increased recovery.”

That eagle design they showed a sketch of could have been turned into something cool. Preferably part of a larger gold center plate.

--The Fandango entrance theme failed to make the U.K. top 40 charts after all, coming 239 downloads short and finishing at No. 44. It was up to No. 37 on Thursday, but the campaign lost momentum from tha point. Still, it's impressive since it had no interest until Monday night, and has no radio play. It's the first time a WWE song cracked the top 100 since Jim Duggan's "USA" hit No. 71 in 1994.

So the Raw after 'Mania was great, and the Smackdown after that was solid.
So why the hell couldn't they have dumped a couple of the Raw moments into Wrestlemania (Ziggler taking the title, the Shield coming for the undertaker) to give that show something resembling plot development?

The day after is a way to make up for a shitty WM and start the new plot lines into summer slam
Its like theres 3 cycles to the WWE booking year
The Wrestle Mania Cycle late January -WM
The Summer Slam cycle April -August
The Royal Rumble cycle Oct-Jan
Thats the TRUTH and sometimes the TRUTH hurts

Well looks like it's time for the 127th attempt to push Kofi Kingston. The guy is talented, but he just can't get over to save his life. The fact that they have these sudden urges to put a title on him for a month then take it off when they get tired of him again doesn't help him much either.
I could say the same for Wade Barrett as well... except for the fact that I can't stand the guy.

Kofi is just too damn small not to mention boring as all get out. The WWE had their huge chance with Barrett and blew it, his elbow dislocation didn't help matter either.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Raw was as bad this week as it was good last week. And boy oh boy, we really need ANOTHER Triple H/Lesnar rematch.
Bizarre highlight of the night was Ziggler and AJ gettin' all kissy-faced while Big E seemed disgusted by it. Maybe they're setting up a love triangle storyline with Langston trying to win Dolph's affection. I'm calling it now - AJ vs. Big E at Summerslam = PPV buyrates shooting through the roof.
I've also come to the conclusion that AJ should play the part of Jodi Arias in the inevitable Lifetime network movie adaptation. Hell, she's practically playing her now with all the psycho nonsense and slutting it up to a new guy every couple of months.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Thoughts on Raw:
1. No Punk for a few weeks = bad. But he deserves the break.
2. Another Kofi US title run? This guy needs to be part of a new lightweight division; supposedly they were going to introduce one for the WWE network...but that seems to be dead in the water.
3. The only reason I can think of for having Lesnar/HHH part three is to give Lesnar the 2-1 advantage to end the feud and not look like a complete jobber. Fingers are crossed for a feud with Punk when he returns.
4. Ryback as a heel is more interesting than anything he's ever done.
5. R-Truth beating Barrett? For what reason? Barrett should have taken the WWE Championship back in 2010 when feuding with Orton.

-- Official now for Extreme Rules: Brock Lesnar vs. HHH in a steel cage match, and John Cena vs. Ryback in what will likely end up a gimmick match as well.

did anyone watch the 2cw live FREE IPPV on Saturday? I was there, AWESOME event, and it was the number one thing trending on twitter the whole night...great company, check em out!! The Sami Callahan (who comes out to Wednesday 13's "Bad Things") vs Matt Hardy match was AWESOME...if you dont know who Sami is youtube him, dude needs to be in one of the big two by the end of the year, SO talented! and the John Morrison vs Kevin Steen match was sweet too...
