Pretty much a riff on Taxi Driver. A 90 minute movie that could have used a little bit more. Joaquin Phoenix is great in it, though. Very good movie that could have been great if maybe there was a little bit more to it.

Really good movie. Another Reitman/Cody/Theron collaboration following the unnerving "Young Adult." It delivers what it promises. An honest look at how exhausting motherhood can be, with some interesting surprises along the way.
Au Hasard Balthazar (1966) - 7/10:
I expected more from the most famous Bresson movie and allegedly one of the best of all time. I didn't even cry. Mouchette was better.
Lisztomania (1975) - 8/10:
Typical Ken Russell psychedelic insanity with a hint of actual biopic, but with great music obviously, and lots of tits. Starring Roger Daltrey with cameos by Rick Wakeman and Ringo Starr.
Mississippi Mermaid (1969) - 6/10:
Not the best Truffaut, nothing Belmondo does makes a shred of sense here, but still enjoyable enough because Catherine Deneuve was at her absolute hottest.
Fallen Angels (1995) - 7/10:
Weird film noir from Hong-Kong. I don't know shit about Asian movies in general, but this was kinda like Ichi The Killer without the gore. Pretty good.

Don't get me wrong, I was really sad for Balthasar and I let him finish, but Mouchette had one of the most devastating movies of all time. Of all time!

Caught Tully last night. Very good movie. I'd give it an 8.5.
Bad Samaritan
4/10
I was bored today and decided to get out and take advantage of my Movie Pass. This is really the only movie left I haven't seen yet. The premise was interesting, but horribly executed. Terrible dialogue and acting. There were some entertaining parts, but not worth paying to see this junk.

Avengers Infinity Wars: 7.5 out of 10 overall, 10/10 for the effort. Massive project done pretty well. My biggest gripe is that it really requires a better than passing familiarity with the various pieces of the franchise to get much out of it.

Agatha Christie's Crooked House(2017) Glen Close Christina Hendricks Gillian Anderson Terence Stamp, a bore 5.5/10
Kevin Smith Silent but Deadly(2018) The guy used to be funny not so much anymore 6/10
I didn't even realize this was airing so soon. I just read a review of it and it seems he took a dig at Affleck's Batman. Damn, I guess there's no love lost between those two.

Late to the game but saw Ready Player One last night. My son wanted to see it. I thought I would hate it. After the first half-hour, I loved it. Sort of a future Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory thing: 7.5/10
