Re: Which of These Singers Had the Best Solo Career?

From this list, DLR.

We might also consider Axl being a solo artist up until the most recent reunion, despite keeping the name GNR.

Re: Def Leppard's "Euphoria" revisited

Tonight is also a really good song off Adrenalize. Probably my favourite. The other two ballads are not too far behind. Agreed about Euphoria as well. It's sad those Adrenalize ballads didn't chart too well. Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad reached number 12 on the charts. As it should have. The...

Re: Def Leppard's "Euphoria" revisited

Sorry, I was in a rush when I wrote my post. Yes, I did mean released as a proper studio album, rather than marketed as a b-sides album with some original songs. With respect to X, someone was saying that they were trying to copy Bon Jovi at the time. This is correct, I even remember an interview wi...

Re: WOW .... Fire currently engulfing Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris....

I don't know if a plane drop would be wise, it might damage the already damaged structure. I do agree that there should be more than two fire trucks, though. I can't imagine any logical reason why there isn't.

Re: New details of strife on troubled "Hellboy" shoot

The movie looks like garbage, and it looked no different from those that came before it. I don't know why anyone thought this was a good idea. They probably should have just rounded out the trilogy, rather than reboot the series.

Re: Def Leppard's "Euphoria" revisited

I've made multiple threads about the quality of Retroactive, and I always say that they should have released it as an album. Who cares if some were B-sides? The quality of the music was there, and it was heavier so it could have helped DL make it through the 90s. Instead, they released Slang, which ...

Still of the Night is probably their best song. This was WS at its absolute peak, everything was downhill after this. Noting that, I still like Slip of the Tongue.

Played on their worst album....and second best.

No way is OTTN their worst album. Slang is miles above in terms of absolute garbage. OTTN is also better than Euphoria and X, and I gave up on anything after those but I have to imagine garbage as well.

Re: If John Lennon had lived through the 1980s...

Hard to say, is it possible that he was influential enough that he would have had an impact on the 80s sound therefore changing it? It's almost impossible to imagine him releasing music in the 80s, because his was so different than anything from the era. Basically, would he have followed trends or m...

Re: What did you think of Gen Swine when it came out? Were you sad?

As far as 1990s releases go by '80s Hard Rock bands, who even put out any respectable music? Motley released singles in 1991 and MC94 . . . who else had a record that strong? Slave to The Grind would be one If you expected Motley to revert to Shout at the Devil in 1997 and they put out an album tha...

Crap, much like every other 80s release during the same period. Metallica, Def Leppard, Skid Row all released similarly awful records during the same period. Granted, at least SR tried to take it in a heavier direction, it still failed.

If I'm going out that day, be it to work or wherever, I will wash it. Otherwise, I probably wash it every two days if I'm not going out. I work from home a lot, so it really depends. I do take a lot of baths though. Not to clean myself or anything, but most nights I'll take a hot bath for 15 to 20 m...

Re: "5150" shocked the world....."

I just think of it as a different band than Van Halen. It's so different from the stuff that they did with Roth that the two cannot be compared. Aside from Eddie's trademark sound, very few people would probably know it was the same band if you had them listen to two tracks. Do I like 5150? Absolute...

Why not? I don't buy into this "bands shouldn't record new material, they can tour on nostalgia."

Whether they play these songs live or not, it's always cool to have a new album to listen to. One day soon all these guys will be dead and we won't get anything new ever again.

I was thinking to myself while watching this: "how can Vince sit through this?"

For the others, the majority of their problems are left in the past. Nikki loves the fact he was a heroin addict, it gives him 'street cred'. But Vince has to live with the fact he killed a guy and lost a daughter.

Ankylosing spondilytis sees the cartilage between your bones erode and your bones fuse together. My father has it worse than Mick, but he's done well to exercise his jaw and whatever joints he can. Every single bone in your body will fuse together unless you exercise. So it is possible Mick's jawbon...

Overrated: Bon Jovi Underrated: Ratt/Cinderalla This is for the 80s, in my opinion. While there are more underrated bands, Killer Dwarfs for example, but these were high selling bands that no one seems to remember at all anymore. The most we've heard of them in the last twenty years, speaking strict...
