I’ll admit sometimes I start the New Jersey album off with Born to Be My Baby.

Re: Beatles Anthology 30th Anniversary
Sounds like a Petty song now. Not a good one though. Never liked either song. Now and Then was good but listening to the demo version, I can picture John getting out of bed just to quickly record this song idea he had then going right back to bed. Like the Beatles, his best solo songs are brilliant.

Re: Half assed Half Review of Half a David Lee Roth show
That's actually one of the most positive reviews I've read of Dave in awhile! People that are going to just say "hey, there's David Lee Roth playing Van Halen songs" are the ones having the best time. Those that go saying "why does he have 5 black backing singers?" "Why does...

Re: When you retire: Your last day of work
3 years to go. Aside from the necessary administrative tasks I need to attend to with Benefits, I have no interest in happy hours, goodbyes, or that nonsense. I get along well with my coworkers, but I don't want to socialize with them outside of work. When I left the place I worked at for 27 years,...

Re: When you retire: Your last day of work
These are great posts so far! I’ve also been working the same job forever but it’s a small business. Once the owner retires, it’s probably over. No idea where I will go next. As someone mentioned, yes….we give them the best years of our lives, so I’m careful to not grow too old! Make sure I’m still ...

Re: I watch the same movies and tv shows over and over
Guilty! It’s the same with music to me though. I listen or watch what I know I like to get into whatever mood I want to be in. And yeah…I know what’s coming next so I can tune out a bit. I watch new stuff too though but very little of it is worth watching twice. It’s funny that the original poster m...

Re: Songs with elements that rip off other bands
The Cherry Pie chorus sounds like Rock On. Or Pour Some Sugar on Me slightly reworked. In that infamous interview, Jani mentioned that the record company said “Write a song like Love in an Elevator” I hear it in the verses. Speaking of Warrant… I didn’t know it at the time but Down Boys rips off th...

Re: NOT HAPPY > Ted Poley Blasts Airlines (again) in FB Rant Tells Readers Flying is Miserable vows to Cut Back on Fly D
I think there are 2 Ted Poley's because I've met him a few times and he was super cool and always smiling, Mr. Happy Go Lucky. The keyboard kicking Ted and the online ranting Ted is not really him. At least his last airline post had a great quote, something about how the crying baby still had that ...

No self awareness? That was nothing! Just a few months ago (I think...) didn't he post a photo of his wife sleeping on the couch and then a photo of the bulge in his pants saying "single again" or something like that? Then like the next day he deleted it, saying they had a misunderstanding...

Danger Danger "Screw It", totally contrived and for me the moment I realized "Hair Metal" had run it's course. Didn't bother to try to return it, literally threw it in the trash. Love the band but yeah...something was up with that one. The album cover was silly like Cherry Pie. ...

This could be the longest thread ever. And the obvious choice, second maybe only to Quiet Riot’s catalog, is the UYI albums. But that goes without saying, so allow me to ruffle some feathers… Faster Pussycat’s Wake Me When It’s Over. Atrocious, over produced, sickeningly polished, HORNS. C’mon. Awf...

Re: Worst albums you've ever heard
Babylon AD - Revelation Highway Yeah, it's horrible compared to the debut. You can tell it was recorded in a home studio. The drums sound is terrible but the songs are awesome and the vocals and guitars are great. Just poor production. Some of those songs were previously released on their demo albu...

Re: Albums you returned/sold the quickest
The 90’s! Post-grunge, pre-internet, CMC, Deadline/Cleopatra, Perris Records. I hated everything. I couldn’t believe that all my favorite bands were putting out such poor albums. The songs and production sucked for the most part. I’ve come to appreciate some of those records but yeah….pretty much ev...

I read the opposite. That Paul brought the song in and Kip said no. Then wrote Without the Night.
The chorus melody and structure is similar. The rest of the song is totally different.

Currently? Making a video about a snake oil salesman who sells bottled cum and turns the whole town gay when they drink it. Re: Other than Lita, did Sharon O ever manage anyone with any success?
Lita Ford was successful? "Lita" album went plarinum in '89 I didn’t know Sharon managed anyone aside from Ozzy! This is interesting and would explain the Close My Eyes Forever duet. That Lita album was WAY better than her previous albums. Not to mention, Kiss Me Deadly and other songs ha...

I used to keep junk food up there. The cookies and chips. Until I realized it was too accessible and I was eating too much junk food.
So then I switched it to tea. I’m pretty sure it’s the same box of chamomile tea I bought 10 years ago but at least I’m making an attempt.

Re: Is Miles Away underrated?
It was Winger’s best charting single so I wouldn’t say it’s underrated. It’s the least “Winger” sounding ballad though since Paul wrote it, not Kip and Reb. I think it is a very well written pop/rock ballad like “Look Away” from Chicago. Any band/artist could’ve recorded it. It probably got Paul the...

She was managing the Quireboys through their first album cycle when they were out with L.A. Guns. Re: Does KISS have the worst catalog of any rock artist with that level of fame?
Agreed that many of the albums are weak, but had great singles. The 80’s stuff especially. What surprises me more though is that they didn’t have that many top 40 hits! Again..a lot of the 80’s singles were not as big on the charts as I thought they were. Motley…yeah, they had a ton of filler but I ...
