Re: care to comment on what's going on in wisconsin?

I am a strong believer in a state wide sales tax increase of 1-2 cents...Wisconsin has one of the country's lowest sales tax at 5%. It allows all of Wisconsin to pay their share...nobody gets hurt. The rich buy more, so they pay more...the poor pay what they can afford. Have a sunset clause so afte...

Re: Anybody change their views on 9/11???

I did change my mind on 9-11 about 2 years ago and still don't have an answer as to why Building 7 fell the way it did. I believe there is enough eye witness testimony out there from first responders to consider it being an inside job. Come on man, you are Not this stupid. Do you realize how many p...

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread

I'm glad Diaz beat Cyborg, but I honestly think his chin helps him win a lot of fights. He's a cumulative effect puncher, his punching seems sloppy to me, and he appears to want to win his fights standing up. On the ground, he's dangerous, but standing up, someone should be beating the hell out of ...

Re: SUPERBOWL XLV

Before Goodell opened his pie hole today, Steelers in a squeaker. After the shit storm it's bound to cause in the locker room, Green Bay. Which I'm sure is exactly what he was after.

But if the Steelers do win, I hope some one close to retirement punches Goodell right in the fucking face.

Re: Goddell

If I was a player, on any team, I'd be pretty pissed about this. I would expect a certain level of confidentiality, which he just violated. I would use the NFLPA to express that while he has been holding us to a higher standard, what standard is he meeting? Shouldn't the players who's privacy was v...

Goddell

Does anyone else find it odd that Goddell just happened to let this all happen the day before media day? Seems like he knew exactly what he was doing to me. I don't know how he can claim to be an arbitrator of justice when he shows such bias. He either thought this out in advance, and should have t...

Re: Wikileaks is the most important world event since 9-11

I don't believe for one second that a single buck private could be capable of stealing these documents on his own. I have no doubt that there are many more people on the inside that were involved. I think we're going to see (if we haven't already) more people with access to even more sensitive docu...

Re: JFK Deathbed Confession

Being a sure shot with any firearm is an erodible skill. Muscle Memory, trigger pull, bla bla bla. You must practice constantly for your skills to not regress. That being said, some people are just naturals with a firearm. Oswald was an ex Jarhead. That's' where the he was an expert marksman comes ...

It doesn't matter if there's a D or an R in front of their name. They're all the same. Crooked. I won't vote party lines, I vote against incumbents.

Wrong. They should be allowed to be as fairy or faggy as they want in the shower as long as they don't harrass their co-workers. No, you're wrong. Soldiers have to follow moral turpitude and conduct unbecoming codes in all areas of the Department of Defense. Whether the open homosexuality ban is li...

Re: US to keep the peace between North & South Korea

I bet there are plenty in the Chinese govt that wish Kim would kick the bucket, so they can influence a more calm future in that area. From what I've read, the son most likely in line to rule is crazier and more war mongering than his Dad. If true, how much China might be able to impact or influenc...

Re: OBama to send troops to the border I guess AZ was right.

That was a different time and a different generation Lerx. I'm not saying there aren't good kids out there, I'm not. But kids today are soft in general. Back then, kids were told they were to be seen, not heard. Since the 70's, kids have been told they have rights, Mommy can't smack their ass for b...

Re: Congress Repeals "Don't Ask/Don't Tell"

I have a fair amount of family members who are active military right now, and just about to a man, they don't want this to pass. They're all E-6 or higher. And most of the vets I've talked to are over 40. So, no definitely not just the slick sleeves, just quicker and easier to get out of hand durin...

Re: OBama to send troops to the border I guess AZ was right.

Lerx, here's the thing. Our military is the best in the world because it's all voluntary. The kids know what they signed up for, and why they're there. You start piping in kids that neither want to be there, nor do they give a fuck, and you have major league trouble. Mandatory service sounds good o...

Re: Congress Repeals "Don't Ask/Don't Tell"

I don't have a problem with it, but surprisingly enough, I'm a vet minority. It's fairly predictable who is for this and who is against it. This topic came up at work the other day, and I heard the usual arguments which boiled down to "I don't want some queer sucking my dick!" Sadly, a lo...

Re: OBama to send troops to the border I guess AZ was right.

But reservists and National Guard HAVE been active fulltime military for nearly a decade now. Most of our reserves ARE activated already which is a dangerous thing. We don't HAVE many reserves anymore, and in that context some kind of mandatory, or at least highly incentivized, military recruitment...
