Curious, how do settlements of this nature work? Does he have to fork over the full amount in a check? Or make regular payments until its all paid off? How does that get decided? All depends on terms of the settlement. Think of how many settlements who’ve heard about (sometimes becoming public only...

St Vincent has been Grammy nominated for all that stuff almost every year for the past decade.
And she ranks higher than Billy Corgan on all the greatest guitarists lists.

She has “only” fans - to the tune of million$ of month. Might have a higher income now than the peak of any musician discussed on this board outside of the extreme superstars.

Re: Billy Corgan pissed off at people: "Most people don't even recognize my contributions as a guitar player"
There are tons of alt rock guitar heroes who write most of the songs, play a few other instruments on record, and are also the singer and frontman. Thurston Moore, Chris Cornell, and I would even say Kurt Cobain were all very good guitarists and songwriters. I’ll bet they aren’t on these lists eith...

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by a few of the interviews and clips I’ve seen of Corgan on YouTube recently, I mean personality-wise. Of course, part of its because of them was with Bill Maher and Corgan was just much more likable in comparison. I think the other one was with Rick Beato.

Plush because it has 2 versions on their greatest hits. The unplugged closes album.
Edited to add: I just looked it up and it was the #1 most played mainstream rock song in 1993 and the #4 most played rock song of the 2010s decade.
Interstate was big but I don’t think comes close to that.

I suspect has the opposite of groupies - weirdo men that pay big money to go every show and get up front, and she's tired of seeing their faces at every show. Can't really imagine it being anything else. If this 73 year-old has male groupies, men are definitely doing something wrong. Outside maybe ...

My old lady and I have been rewatching Community and I don’t think there’s ever been a woman hotter than Britta. To borrow from our kid POM, she’s so hot she makes Little Annie Adderall look plain. I generally prefer brunettes and Annie is cute, but I definitely find Britta more attractive. Even he...

Re: "The Emptiest Concert I Have Ever Been To - A Strange Night Of Old School Hip Hop"
EMPD had 4 Gold Albums in a row when it meant something, without “going pop.” Those albums are all considered classics in the genre. Then they had a comeback after a breakup that was a huge deal in hip-hop. And they went Gold again 5 years later in a new scene. “Da Joint” was a rap hit. “You Gots to...

Re: Bret Michaels' "Musical Director" Pete Evick Rants About Poison
In addition to the above criticisms, I must assume Pete is purposely refusing to use “their” correctly. I say this because, regardless of the substance of his message, it generally has pretty good spelling and grammar for the most part. Using “there” instead of “their” at least a handful of times mu...

They were a one hit wonder thirty years ago, he should be counting his blessings anyone turned up at all. Especially in a random European country where they don’t even speak English! Re: Oasis reunion. Who's actually surprised?
Both Beady Eye and the other project got a pretty good amount of hype, at least initially, in the US. Probably as much or more than the last Oasis album, at least on the rock radio I listened to at the time. I know it doesn’t mean much at all these days (the last alternative radio station in my city...

That’s pretty cool. I live in Pickerington AND Columbus. Some of my neighbors would be very offended at being called Columbus, but they probably aren’t the audience for this show. Historically there have been a lot of pretty good events and festivals with “80s bands” in the area.

I always thought Everlong was THE song of that album and the band’s “signature song.” I think My Hero was alright as 3rd singles go, no clue why it would have more replay than the others.

I don’t even really listen to Blues but the first 2 names and at least 4 or 5 (Robert Randolph, who had a pretty big mainstream push at one point, for example) really pop out to me as “names” so I’m sure they draw for that genre.

Favre is a great QB, not put here to do good or right. He wanted stuff for his daughter. In and of itself, something most of us would do for our kids. It's the easiest time in the history of humanity to exist and everyone needs energy drinks to get through their sedentary lives. Ridiculous. That said, when I was on graveyard shift, I did pop the occasional 150mg caffeine pill that my coworker brought in. I had one of those 5 Hour Energy shot thin...

I have the small coffee maker and make one "pot" early in my day. About halfway through I have a preworkout drink mix. I cut way back on caffeine. Used to do Bang/Reign/Hyde all the time. 300-420mg a pop. Too much. Caffeine is effective but too much is dehydrating and causes bad sides, sam...

Re: Streaming ruined the Billboard singles charts. It's all pointless now.
In the mid-'90s to early '00s (for the most part), the singles charts NEVER reflected the reality of the most popular current songs as far as what was most played on the radio and TV and listened to by the masses. Because there is always some peculiar aspect(s) to the chart methodology. Remember whe...
