Re: 40 years ago today: Deep Purple’s Mark II returned with “Perfect Strangers” - Where does this one rank for you?

I love the title song and Knockin on your back door... and then, well what else is really decent on there? What struck me most when it came out (and still does) is how uninspired and unmemorable Ritchie's solo playing was. He had so many memorable, melodic and interesting leads in the Deep Purple a...

The U.S. market for 80's or Hair Metal shows, is definitely different than in South America, or Europe. I have played more shows in Foreign countries in the last 20 years than in the U.S., or... it's very close to equal and the fan bases is DEF younger abroad! I can testify, that there is a MUCH yo...

Re: Are hair metal shows really dying out?

The US market always has been the weakest market compared to the European, Asian and Latin countries. If your "always" begins at 1999, maybe. But in the 80s bands like Ratt, Cinderella and Poison headlined arenas in the US and were openers at best in Europe. Journey were nothing here, and...

I'm over 50 years old and definitely NOT a phone guy so I don't really care either way. But Ghost is not a classic rock band with an old fan base. A large percentage of their audience is not middle aged or older. This phone policy will certainly piss off those under 45. Jack White has had a similar...

Laundry. This looked so difficult and time consuming as a kid. But as an adult actually doing it is really quick and straightforward. True my mum was doing laundry for a household of 4 instead of 2 like I do. But man I thought this task was going to be way harder than it actually is.

Some weak ballads here. Probably one from the big 3 (Scorps, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard) is the best. Although far from their strongest work.

This is a close call between the 70s rock legends KISS and Aerosmith.

Edit. The Def Leppard song is great as well.

Tough choice between these 3
