That brother brought quite a bit of good insight to the story. He was one of the better interviews in there.

Nothing. I enjoy 2-3 songs from it, but it is largely absent the things I really enjoy most in King's X. Their stuff works a LOT better with the 3-part harmonies.

He's talking about all this stuff, but that was yesterday. What's Lou singing lately? I remember Lou doing a pretty big-budget Shadow King project that was mostly turgeo-id. One good song only, and that was the little acoustic piece done by Viv Campbell. Shadow King is possibly the worst "supe...

Re: Detonator is Ratt's underappreciated MASTERPIECE

Worst RATT album if you count out Collage. It's a Desmond Child album but without the hooks and choruses he used to deliver in the 80's. What's funny is that BLOTZ is credited as writer for two of three decents tracks on the album, Can't Wait on Love and One Step Away. Giving Yourself Away is third...

Re: Detonator is Ratt's underappreciated MASTERPIECE

Not a masterpiece, but it was a step up from the two albums before. Shame Shame Shame is among their 10 best songs. Guitar sound it great throughout, and Warren gets a kind of groove to the rhythm playing that he hinted at on Reach FSK but he gets better here. The really obvious Desmond singles don'...

They never play How Can I Refuse, always thought it should get more love. Cool deep cut for a full set. Enough with the Zeppelin. Agree, and they need Even It Up and If Looks Could Kill, too. And 1-2 songs from the Jupiter's Darling era. Can't be too many from there as fans don't know that era as m...

Re: Slash feat. Chris Stapleton - "Oh Well"

The riff/rhythm section really sucks, especially compared to original. Tempo is a bit staid, and it's just kind of clunky. But the vocal is cool, and Slash really gets it doing in the solo/jam section. Overall, I'll give this a B.

Thought you'd say that but since you put UTG #2 anything was possible. UTG is a filler/skip track imo. 3-chord Jon Lord vamp that doesn't really go anywhere. So many other great songs on that album... Nobody's Home, Mean Streak, Hungry Daze... Nobody's Home I like, but the other two don't move me. ...
