I think it's quite likely that to happen while Brady is still active. I certainly hope so anyway.bane wrote:I don't think the Pats are done yet. I could see them winning one or two more before Brady hangs it up.

M - 8/10. Finally got round to watching one of Fritz Lang's movies. Great performance by Peter Lorre as the child murderer. Some really nice visual touches throughout the film particularly when Lorre's character sees the chalk M on his jacket . Still works well as a movie after all these years.

I saw that dude on the live broadcast and thought "WHY? What the fuck were you thinking?". Bet he wished he hadn't bothered once the game was over. Great showing by the Pats. Some of those touchdowns were insane!chungasrevenge wrote:

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Saw the Pats v Rams game at Wembley earlier. It was great to see a NFL game in person for the first time and also to see my team, the Pats, win. Too bad the Rams never showed up. They lost 7-45 to Tom Brady and co. Brady was immense. Delivered 4 touchdowns which was one better than what he managed w...

I'm really rooting for the O's this year. They've made a great comeback after years in the wilderness. I wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

That's unfair I think. He's not as effusive in his displays of determination, but I would never question his heart. Don't forget he's a good five or six years older and further into his career than either of those guys, it's natural they would eclipse him at this point, not indicative of his lack o...

It was awesome. It was also the longest grand slam final in history. Djokovic fully deserves his no.1 status.

I see the Pats will be playing against the Rams at this year's game in London. I may well go to this if I can get tickets. The Rams will also be playing 1 game in London for the next 3 years.

Great result for Boston. I hope to see the victory banners still up in the city when I visit later this month. The Vancouver riots even got news coverage over here in blighty. Talk about sore losers! Re: The official NHL thread
Most of us can watch our local NHL team on basic cable. The NHL network and VERSUS show games. I got NHL center ice and can watch any game I want. NBC shows games, but only show a handful of teams. Wings and Pens being the two they show the most. Ah, right. Thanks for the explanation. ESPN America ...

That's good news. What do you reckon are the Bruins' prospects at this season's play-offs. They're pretty high up in the league rankings so I'd say they've have a good chance at success.chungasrevenge wrote:Mckenzie is guessing 2 games for Chara. Sounds good to me.

Really? That's surprising. Do NBC have exclusive rights to US broadcasts of NHL games (I was watching the NBC feed on ESPN America) or do other networks show games as well?NeverSurrender wrote:Isn't it ironic that somebody in the UK can watch hockey on ESPN America, but in America, ESPN doesn't have hockey?

Flyers lose 7-0 versus The Rangers. Hopefully this embarrassment will be exactly what they need to get their heads out of their asses. Oh...and "Boooooo!" I watched that game on ESPN America. A real morale boost for the Rangers. Perhaps they might have a chance at making the play-o...

I admit to being a Tory, but at the same time, great idea to make this speech today Dave, what with the right wing lunatics protesting in Luton... They're done. It's just a matter of time. This year they're not giving away any tickets down there and you can see the result. Whereas the league has always shied away from relocation talk, league executives have been quoted in the press as saying things to the effect of "all options are on th...

Re: The official NHL thread
Thrashers have a good team and they're breaking attendance low records. Even Hartford would have generated more interest. At least the Whalers had sellouts 10 or so times per year when the Bruins/Canadiens/NY teams played. Yeah, Atlanta are 11th in the league at the moment which is higher than team...

The Thrashers had an all time low of 8000 a few weeks ago. Of course this could have been beaten since then! The capacity for the arena is 18,545 according to wiki. 18,545? Shit, not even the UK teams play anywhere that big (biggest is 9,000 i think). Someone needs to move that franchise to somewhe...
