Re: Maiden ‘Run For Your Lives’ setlist
Definitely expected the second half and the encores to be mixed up more than that, they're still great songs but too predictable. I wonder if playing more familiar material was a way of breaking the new drummer in.

Why are they using Death Cult? Nostalgia tour? Death Cult shows feature setlists that only include songs from that era of the band through the Love album, nothing after https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/death-cult/2025/el-rey-theatre-los-angeles-ca-73462e59.html Thanks, great setlist, the band sound r...

Excellent, a sequel to my fave comedy album of all time, One For All.
I wonder who is really playing drums on this shitshow - no way is Sheehan locking in with Noodle Arms.

The filming was excellent, made the theatrics look a lot more polished than they actually were. Great setlist, atmosphere and performances all round. Probably one of my fave concert movies and definitely a high point in the Coop's career.

It's like when they use "exhaustion" as a synonym for being strung out or in withdrawal as a reason for cancelling tour dates. Vince is most likely attempting to dry out and/or lose weight.

Even if Razzle had lived, Andy McCoy would've prevented them from having major success. Too much of a liability and fuckup and just incompatible with the business side of the industry. And McCoy was the heartbeat of that band, of course.

Motörhead s/t to Overkill Mercyful Fate s/t to Melissa Dream Theater WDADU to Images Was gonna say Motörhead as well. From a so-so debut to their best album was quite the lap. I'm a fan; I have all the albums. I feel like I've heard it - lyrically and musically. There is a little Spillways in the chorus mixed with another song (maybe Cirice?). I don't dislike it. It's catchy. It's just very familiar. Yeah, agree with you. This feels very safe and predictable - "oh, ...

Slade - Burning in the heat of love
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBUGAf5bVTk Great song, feels like proto sleazy rock to me. Anyone heard this before? Released in '77 as a non-album single but failed to chart. Punk happened. Also covered by Girlschool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDy0pY3ruak What an absolute belter of a track!

Re: Half-assed Michael Monroe Live Review: NYC April 2, 2025
Great setlist, he's got a lot to choose from and that's a really nice spread of tracks from throughout his career. A track or two from his solo debut wouldn't go amiss, though - She's No Angel or Million Miles Away (not the Hanoi one) would be cool additions.

Last show I saw was Kiss on their End Of The Road tour, I just haven't been bothered since. Had tickets for Mike Monroe the last time he played here but couldn't face it on the night.
