How do you like the G3, man? I love mine. It's ridiculously good for the price.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

anyone tryu the Zoom G3? I have one. It's fantastic considering the price. Most of the amp models and effects are great and the 40 second looper with drum patterns is killer. It's perfect for practice and home recording. Oh yeah, and the thing can run on AA batteries, so it's portable. There's a B3...

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Just picked up a Zoom G3 pedal. Super fun, especially the looper function. It's amazing considering it only costs $199.

Nice choice, man. I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the Dimarzios. I'm actually thinking of putting a set in my Yamaha SG.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

You got it for a steal. Not for a Squier. I've had a Squier P bass for about 10 years and mine was $180 new. Squier guitars are horrible but the basses are a LOT of bass for the amount of money you pay. Always have been. You're right. I paid the standard price for it, but it kicks ass for the money...

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

What's with all the Rats? A few vintage stock, a modded vintage, a 90's stock, and a few modded ones that range from pretty much stock to the beavis audio 4-knob 5-switch super mod. They're great pedals but if you sort through them and find a good one so that you can start with a good sounding base...

Glad you found something that works, but I still say you should have tried a JB.

For your price range, that'll get the job done just fine. Maybe throw a Dano Fish n' Chips EQ pedal in the mix for some added versatility.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

I'm looking at a new hum for my Dokken geetar...the Duncan Distortion I have in there is sweet, but kinda flubs out the low end distortion-wise. (It's over 16k ohms...to give yins an idea.) Looking for something more mid-output with a mid EQ peak...Di Marzio "Fred", EVO and Mo' Joe's look...

I got a Vox Tonelab ST for Christmas. It's a great little box for practicing or recording. Surprisingly good amp simulations and pretty good effects.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Just picked up a Digitech GSP 2101 Artist rackmount preamp with the Control One foot-controller. As usual, most of the presets are crap, but there are some beautiful sounds in this thing if you tweak it for a while. This is one of the best things Digitech ever put out, IMO.

I recently bought an old Peavey Rockmaster preamp. Sounds killer. One of the coolest things Peavey ever made, IMO. I always liked those. What amp are you pumping it into? Right now I'm just plugging it into my Randall RM100S. My plan at some point is to pick up a Peavey Classic 50/50 power amp on t...
